Val Kilmer will star opposite Tom Cruise in the “Top Gun: Maverick,” an individual with knowledge of the production told TheWrap.

I gather he was spotted at the hotel Cruise is staying at in San Diego.

There's NAS North Island out on Coronado, but Miramar has been a Marine Corps Air Station since the late 90s. No idea why they'd even have to be in San Diego. I guess the Central Valley just isn't as photogenic.

Thor Ragnorak is on Netflix and I watched it for a 4th time last night. This may be the most rewatchable marvel movie they have and it honestly gets better every time. It plays more like a movie from the 80s that I'd watch over and over when I was a kid.

The opening scene with "Immigrant Song" as the background music is just so perfect.

Meh. I liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (book and US movie, Swedish movies are whatever) because the heart of the story was a pretty solid mystery. I lost interest as the second book turned Lisbeth into an virtually omniscient avenging action hero, which this movie looks to be fulling leaning into.

Sylvia Hoeks could make it worth watching though....

I still think of Dakota Fanning as being 10 years old so I was real confused how she was going to play Squeaky Fromme.

Why is Damian Lewis still referred to as a star of Dreamcatcher? He’s been in dozens of more significant roles since then, most of which people have actually seen. It’s weird.

Yeah, this is the first in a potential trilogy written by a new author (obviously). I enjoyed the newer books, although they pale in comparison to the originals. No surprise there.

I thought it was odd that Luke Perry has Riverdale. He's Dylan **** McKay.

It is weird. I mean, he hasn't been in a ton of movies but anytime they need to reference a previous work it should just say "Major Dick **** Winters".

I actually enjoyed the Swedish movies. I don't get why they decided to skip the Larsson books and go right to Langercrantz books. Something to do with Larsson's crazy girlfriend and rights to the books/movies? I know they stalled on making a sequel to Dragon Tattoo as they were trying to get Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig to return, but couldn't due to their schedules.

Read the first book and about 100 pages of the 2nd. The first was a boring slog until the last about 100 pages. The beginning to the second seemed super disjointed and it became a chore to read so i stopped. That is one series that I could have seen the movies being better than the books. Too bad they never got made.

Source of the post Too bad they never got made.
The Swedish versions (I believe each book had two, one hour movies dedicated to it) were on Netflix not too long ago. Not sure if they are still there.

I was going to say Clint Howard, but your point is well taken.

This as well. Give me Goggins as Charles Manson and then have Clint be whatever. Just some other version of himself.

Add Al Pacino as Leo's agent to the list

I will watch this. Maybe not opening weekend, maybe not in a theater, but I will see it.

This is tough on a mobile.

It’s a re-remake of A Star is Born starring and directed by Bradley Cooper with Lady Gaga and Dave Chapelle.
