Did you see the documentary? He specifically called this out and what the director said to him prior to filming.Casting him in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" was an extra smart move.

Speaking of Marvel, they have 20 more films already planned. Everything before Avengers 4, and everything after.

I wondered if the comic movie thing really taking off has resulted in more people actually buying comics (of that sort). I asked a friend, who is both a comic artist and kind of an expert on the history of comics. His answer was, "Sadly, no."

Almost missed this under the big image, but yeah, if you're not sick of superhero movies yet, just wait.Speaking of Marvel, they have 20 more films already planned. Everything before Avengers 4, and everything after.

Most people can just read the hundreds of wiki's online for free without having to buy anything. The only thing people I'd imagine would be buying comics for are the artwork.I wondered if the comic movie thing really taking off has resulted in more people actually buying comics (of that sort). NPR had an author on recently that wrote a history of the comic shop. Pretty interesting story, how one person changed the whole distribution method of comics from publishers to customers. Most people can just read the hundreds of wiki's online for free without having to buy anything. Anyway, the comic book print industry is not doing well. Top titles sell in such low numbers, that it's kind of a novelty industry. If 10% of the people that saw Thor went out and bought a Thor or Avengers comic book, sales would be phenomenal....but, that's not happening.

I bought my Dad one of the Walking Dead compendiums if that counts.

Yeah, that sure does count!
That's my preferred method - I can't keep up with the individual monthly titles any longer. A collected series is the way to go.

praise that every frame a painting guy, he single handily is getting these movies to fix their music. the guy who did ragnorok referenced that video as a challenge to him, and now they've actually used their own theme in a trailer instead of something from Hi Finesse or another trailer music house.

it does look funny in the trailer when hulkbuster gets flattened by a punch and then they show winter soldier cocking a gun like thats going to do something.

its kind of amazing how quiet everything is post avengers 4. for over 3 years now they've had this huge pipeline of films. now i assume any announcements will result in a spoiler.
i remember being skeptical if the first avengers film would work, and i loved it. i hope the same is true here, considering how easy this seems to be to screw up. they have an awful unenviable problem of several actors who probably don't want to keep doing this that have become lynchpins of a multibillion dollar industry.

yep, I think you are right, forgot about that movie. I look forward to everyone fighting against the enemy rather than themselves this time. That was part of the reason Justice League was so fun.Didn't Civil War end with Steve Rogers quitting his role as Captain America, busting his team out of the floating prison, and then doing who the hell knows?whats with the all black no helmet costume for Capt.
