My wife liked Isle of Dogs.
Every time a commercial for this comes on, Mrs Tif is like, "Nope". And I'm like, "It's Japan stuff, and dogs.... what's not to....." "Nope". She's 100% convinced there's a ton of sad dog stuff in there that will negate the awesome dog stuff.
I haven't seen it, the best response I saw to this movie was some indie rocker dude decrying the movie on twitter and congratulating Wes Anderson for "making a movie that literally no one but Wes Anderson will like".

Watched Hostiles last night, that is not the movie I thought it was going to be. Brutal, bleak and slow. It was well done and I'll never watch it again. I need the Paddington movie in my life and soon after that one.

I watched Annihilation over the weekend, and while most of it was enjoyable, I still don't know what to make of the ending.

I'm sure I'll watch it at some point, even if it is just to see Nat Port.

The posters are cool, but I'm not sure how I feel about the cat tees.

I got to see a preview clip roughly 3 months ago that was about seven minutes long. It looked like one of those movies that had no middle ground. Like, it was either going to be bonkers-go-nuts, or awful.

First footage of Halloween looks great. New story is that after he was shot by Loomis Michael was recommitted and Laurie has been preparing in case he ever breaks out.
Some teenagers were talking amongst each other. "Wasn't it her brother that killed all those people?" "It wasn't her brother, that's something people made up." So, yeah. Bye-bye sequel storylines!
There was a shot of Myers, post break-out, tormenting a girl in a bathroom stall. His hand goes over the door and drops a dozen bloody teeth on the floor. They're not messing around with this one. It's great to see the mask back in action.

Wow. So that's bye bye to all sequels, including Halloween 2? The sister twist always felt odd but I do really like the second film. However, I will not miss Jamie and I certainly won't miss the nonsense that is Curse of Michael Myers.

They showed the first trailer for #Glass at #CinemaCon, which puts Unbreakable’s Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Split’s James McAvoy in a psych center that studies people who think they’re superheroes. What could go wrong, right? The crowd LOVED it.

Cool, Halloween was filmed in Charleston.
If they wanted to film it in a truly terrifying location they should have went to Goose Creek.

The bigger news here is why is there a Secret Life of Pets 2? Did they not say all they needed to in the first one?

James Cameron's Upcoming 'T2: Judgment Day' Sequel Receives Official Title of 'Terminator'
Image

Skydance and Paramount Pictures have revealed Terminator as the official title for the next film that follows the events in James Cameron’s T2: Judgment Day. In addition, the art that’s on display at the ongoing CinemaCon promises that Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor is going to play a prominent role.

Director Tim Miller and producer James Cameron recently found their new Terminator in Gabriel Luna, who appeared as Ghost Rider in ABC’s superhero series Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Ah yes, so the trend now is to create a sequel, ignore other sequels, and title it the same as the first movie. Makes sense.

So in canon order it goes Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Terminator.

Or in the case of Halloween, the canon order is Halloween, Halloween.
