@eddysnake - Color Out of Space is so good! Beautifully shot and even weirder than I was expecting.

I’d have to agree. We laughed our butts off at parts, even my movie hating son didn’t want an intermission to play hockey in the basement, and it’s exciting enough in the middle to make you forget that the ending is going to suck balls.

The ending was pretty emotional.

We’ve been doing family movie night every Saturday, and I think we may just do it every weekend night. Next up is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

There really isn't much gore. Some slimy monsters, but as far as I can recall, actual gore is limited to some blood splatter and one scene with a knife, but that's brief.

"There really isn't much gore."

Look, I'm not a judgmental guy by nature. Just, you know, consider the source with that.

Ha - she must be a lightweight. Definitely less gory/gross than something like The Thing or Alien. But, as tif said, I'm not the best judge. Sorry if it traumatized her!

 See, I thought it looked too goofy to be scary/unnerving. But I'm pretty desensitized.

mrs meow and I are not real big movie goers/viewers, but we've used the old Q time to watch some recent movies. Joker and 1917 we both great. The new Blade Runner is up next.

Unpopular opinion: Crystal Skull is pretty enjoyable up until they get to the jungle.

I'll have to watch it again, my wife already has the kids saying they don't want to watch it without knowing anything about it. While it doesn't come close to touching the greatness of the first 3, I don't remember having that big of an issue with it.

I think people go overboard on the hate for it. It's not great and there are definitely many parts which are downright awful, but there's a lot of enjoyable stuff there as well. Full disclosure: I have ZERO problem with the fridge scene.

This is accurate, imo. I just didn't like the Tarzan vine swinging nonsense.

We watched The Banker, on Apple TV+. Interesting story, and backstory on why it was delayed. The family enjoyed it.

The swinging is by far the worst part. I also really disliked the car chase through the jungle that was almost entirely CGI. The fencing on top of the car was awful as well.

Crystal Skull got a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. Indiana Jones purists hated it but as a standalone movie it was quite entertaining and well done.
