Looks like the Cleveland Browns of comic book movies are at it again. After Batman v Superman was a **** show, WB appointed Geoff Johns and Jon Berg as the co-runners of DC Films with the purpose of overseeing the DCEU. Two movies later (Wonder Woman and Justice League), plus Aquaman in post-production, and the DCEU versions of Kevin Feige are already out. Berg has been given a production office at the studio, Johns has been reduced to an advisory role on DC movies, and there is a high possibility that less than two years after its creation DC Films will be abandoned as a production company and the production of DC properties will be rolled back into the main production house at WB.

Atomic Blonde was OK, I guess. A little hyper for my tastes, but it made me miss The Americans and Deutschland 83.
Need more Cold War thrillers.

Yes, loved it and the Alec Guinness BBC miniseries from the seventies, based on the same book. I really need to rewatch that soon...

Saw that yesterday.
There was some thought in the Delorean community that the passing of BTTF day (October 21, 2015) would be the beginning of the end of the Delorean DMC-12s presence as the dominate pop culture icon in DMC circles. As the trilogy ages with no real reason to resurface, over time the BTTF time machine would've been mostly forgotten through attrition and apathy. Unfortunately, 2018 is going to be unkind in that regard. As seen in that trailer the protagonist's car is a Delorean with BTTF and KITT parts so now Generation Z will know the DMC as that car from Ready Player One. Ernest Cline, the author of the novel, drives a DMC with a KITT steering wheel (dumbass) so it shouldn't be that surprising, although the 'death race' depicted in that trailer is not in the book.
It's actually a big year for the DMC in cinema. Lee Pace is starring in a biopic called Driven as John Z. Delorean. Alec Baldwin (wtf?, fat schmuck) is starring as Delorean in a documentary. And then there is Ready Player one as seen above, and in Blue World Order below:
I'm hoping the Pace and Baldwin movies are historically accurate as it may go a long way in clearing up a lot of misconceptions about JZD, the end of DMC the company, and the trial.

I think we've hashed this out before, but while I enjoyed RPO the first time I read it, his second book absolutely sucks, and I'm honestly kind of nostalgia'd out at this point. Especially when it is done in such a hamfisted manner. Then again, I did watch Season 2 of ST

He's writing a sequel to RPO. I liked the book too. It was a fun read with really bad writing, but I have no problems with checking my brain at the door and having a little fun. I'll see the movie because it's Spielberg and he is amazing.I think we've hashed this out before, but while I enjoyed RPO the first time I read it, his second book absolutely sucks, and I'm honestly kind of nostalgia'd out at this point. I had nightmares from the book. Excellent horror atmosphere, but the trailer is making it more like a monster movie. That isn't really in the book I read.
