Yeah I can count the number of people calling for a Charlie’s Angels reboot on no hands.
Ghostbusters? We wanted it but with the original cast not some alternate gender-reversed non-sense force fed to us as “good.”
As was said Captain Marvel, did very well. Why? Because there was a demand for the greater Marvel universe.
It’s simple supply and demand. If people wanted Charlie’s Angels they would ask for it. (See Deadpool) Hell Bridesmaids was successful because they made an actual funny movie that had funny women in it. The movie was strong and the actors elevated that strength. Not the other way around.

Watched Raging Bull last night. What a sad tough movie to watch. It's so well done and everyone is incredible in it, it's just not a movie I'm rushing to watch again anytime soon. I really forgot how much of an art film it really is.

Great movie that I will probably never watch again.Watched Raging Bull last night. What a sad tough movie to watch. It's so well done and everyone is incredible in it, it's just not a movie I'm rushing to watch again anytime soon. I really forgot how much of an art film it really is.
Yesterday was the two year anniversary of the release of Justice League and there was close to a million tweets, including support from Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Dave Bautista, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and others who were either in or worked on Snyder's DC movies, urging DC to release Zack Snyder's version of the movie. Speculation is that it might get released on HBO Max. I'm sure it sucks, but it can't be worse than the version that was released.

If you actually believe a "Zack Snyder cut" is going to save that movie, you're gonna have a bad time. Spoiler alert: it will be longer, there will be slow motion, and it will be somehow worse than the theatrical cut.

I’m just surprised that there’s that many people concerned with getting a different, but still bad, version of a terrible and completely forgettable movie.

Oh more women movies. Didn’t Elizabeth Banks write Pitch Perfect? Again good writing and a good movie. So good that it spawned a trilogy. No complaining about people being sexist or misogynistic there.

has there been any details on what is different with the snyder cut?

A lot, though most of it is backstory and filler.has there been any details on what is different with the snyder cut?
https://screenrant.com/zack-snyder-cut- ... e-changes/A conservative estimate says 30 minutes of Justice League’s theatrical cut is a product of Whedon’s reshoots. Assuming a rumored runtime of around 3 hours for Zack Snyder’s original cut, that means over an hour and a half of Snyder’s original movie is entirely missing, and even more was tweaked and altered to a new context.

There's an historic theater in Westwood that still has a big FOX neon light atop a tower over the lobby. It's a popular venue for hosting premiers, and is one of the best commercial theaters in the country. It still has a THX cert (which TIL is still a thing for cinemas), but they recently upgraded to Atmos. Considering going to see EpIX there next month.

"Last Christmas" gets the job done for what it's trying to be. Emilia Clarke is great in these roles, as proven by how she killed it in "Me Before You" as well.

At 1:15 of that video, typical unfunny Rebel Wilson appearance.

comes out next week and already planning on watching it, but this is the best trailer so far (it also seems to give away the most so far as well)

I have yet to see the first, but as a surprise to nobody, Todd Phillips is working on a Joker sequel. I guess a $70M making over $1B will do that

On the one hand, I'm thankful that there are not homicidal robots running around my city, and that the place doesn't look quite as wrecked as in the movie. But 'basic pleasure model' robots and flying cars might be neat.
