Is the prevailing theme music from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly the originator of that theme for westerns and the like or did it just continue that tradition...?

I would say it set the bar for others to try to reach.

Enrico Mirricone was his name. I highly recommend checking out Metallica's version of Ecstasy of Gold.

:thumb: He’s still alive, most recently providing some original score for Hateful 8.

I'm not sure the specifics, but I know GB&U wasn't even their first collaboration in the western genre, maybe just the most popular? A fistful of dollars started it off with ennio and sergio. My favorite is his work on once upon a time in the west.

Yeah, it's awesome. Didn't Carpenter also do a soundtrack for it?

Cool, lots to chew on there. I honestly thought I wouldn't get any response to the query. Good stuff, boys. :thumb:

He's not credited I believe but when you listen to the score he definitely had an influence.

Finally watched Edge of Tomorrow.... Like others, I greatly enjoyed it.
The ending seemed a little too far fetched and convenient, although not every ending has to be a downer. Cruise and Blunt were both great.

Watched Jojo Rabbit yesterday. It was okay. The end was a little... loose.

The movie started going a bit Wes Anderson, which means complete trash as everyone with taste knows, but it did not fall down that pit and managed to keep its head above water.

I do think that most of the funny bits were in the trailer.

I liked the bloody thumbs up in the hospital, I liked the mom calling the kid Shitler, and I liked the pudgy kid dropping the rocket launcher and blowing up the shop (which was in the trailer).

Nothing earth shattering here, except to confirm that the Hamilton release on Disney+ is going to look great.

I just listened to this for the first time this weekend and wow, it was really great. Not sure what took me so long, but I'm looking forward to this.

Big Daddy still holds up. Amazing how many lines I remembered after not having seen it for 20 years.

Watching it as a father this time around was interesting. So many cringe worthy parenting moments.

I actually went and ordered the soundtrack CD on eBay...so good, so 90s.

This is probably the most fun movie I've seen in quite some time.

Woah. He's actually older than Batman was in Dark Knight Returns. I'm so down for this.
