A Tolliver jersey signed by Jaybird has got to be a plot McGuffin for a story.

New 'Wallace and Gromit' Movie to Premiere On Netflix In 2024 and Here's the First Synopsis
Netflix announced today a new Wallace & Gromit film, with Aardman Animation legend Nick Park heading up a new story for his beloved, fromage-adoring characters. The film will premiere exclusively on the streamer around the world, except for in the UK, where it'll debut first on the BBC: a fitting move, given the public broadcaster has always been their native home (and, as anyone in England will know, has spun their old adventures in the Beeb's festive playlist come the season for the last couple of decades).
Big fan of everything Aardman Animation produces. :thumb:

That's awesome. I just watched The Pirates and that was very enjoyable.

Watched the inventor doc on HBO about Theranos. Didn't know much about her and that story is crazy. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one left in this country not in on some grift.

New Batman movie is clocking in over 3 hours with credits. Soundtrack being released tonight. I don't give a **** if a movie is 50 minutes or 4 hours as long as it's good.

I do. Who the **** wants a 3 hour Batman movie?

While I share eddy's sentiment, it seems like most filmmakers these days just don't have the chops to keep longer films from dragging. Which is a problem, since longer and longer seems to be the norm.

Yeah, there isn’t enough there for me to approve of a 3 hour Batman movie. DC sure as **** hasn’t proven otherwise.

For reference, the longest Marvel movie is End Game at 3 hours 2 min. The longest Batman standalone is Dark Knight Rises at 2 hours 45 min and that film easily could've cut 20 minutes. The longest superhero film period is Zack Snyder's Justice League at 4 hours 2 min. Don't get me started on that nonsense.

Point is, you telling me The Batman needs the same amount of running time as **** End Game? Learn to kill your darlings, filmmakers.

Dark Knight was very well paced. Didn’t need to be shortened at all. But I doubt this new Batman will be as good

Agreed. Dark Knight Rises, on the other hand...

The Dark Knight is sort of 'perfect movie' territory imo.

oh my bad, didn’t realize you mentioned DKR. I know what Nolan was going for and that's why I don't hold it against him but yeah, DKR just wasnt good enough to justify the runtime

I am still interested in the new Batman movie but 3 hours seems about 30-40 minutes too long. I'm not confident they have a good enough script to make that long of a movie.

I don’t understand what they can do that already hasn’t been done with Batman and with super heroes in general

So many things. Superhero is just a genre. That’s like saying “I don’t understand what they can do in a drama that they haven’t already done.”

Now that’s not to say that this new Batman will feel original but that’d be a failure of the filmmakers, not the genre.

The character Batman has been around since 1939. New, original content has been added to his canon pretty much every year for 8 decades.

Establishing a new Gotham, new Batman, Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, whoever else from the Rogue's Gallery they decide to throw in, the mystery being investigated, etc is more than enough to create a quick moving 3 hour movie if handled correctly.

Probably even have enough time for a 30 minute slow motion flashback finally showing how his parents died.

If only we could get a telling of Bruce Wayne's story that depicted that tragedy.

I believe they got caught in the gears of a combine, but I'd need to see it to believe it
