Stocking stuffers are all over for the place for me this year. Hard Target 4k and The Awful Truth Criterion are going to be the hit of the season!

Hard Target the TV show?
Movie Thread
WTF, the jcvd movie
Movie Thread
Ah, ****. I was thinking of Human Target. My bad. I'm a closet(ed?) Mark Valley fan.

I have no idea what any of that means, go watch Wilford Brimley rip it up in hard Target. It's so good. John Woo's US debut too

Favorite JCVD movie? Gotta be Bloodsport, right? I haven't seen it in a while but Universal Soldier would have to be up there too.

Timecop.

I haven't seen any of those. Which is probably why Timecop and Sudden Death were my first two thoughts.

Haha, death warrant, double impact, universal soldier, cyborg are all good too.
Movie Thread
Bloodsport is on HBO Max. Don't come back until you've watched it.
Movie Thread
None of those either. Must be a whole genre I'm blind to with these.

Cyborg is great. Double Impact? Not so much.
Oh wait, I'm confusing Double Impact with Double Team.

Yeah, that's a tricky one, double team still gets some play at my house, but it's purely a nostalgic watch for meCyborg is great. Double Impact? Not so much.

Every JCVD flick listed on this page is worth watching.

Mia Sara deserved a better career. Probably. I dunno, Sloane forever I guess.

This series has made me realize that I've seen many more movies from the Golden Age and 60s than the 70s. Obviously I've seen most of the films from the 80s and on that they discuss, but I was shocked at how many 70s films I hadn't seen. That seems like a decent 2022 goal. Watch more 70s movies.I've been watching The Movies doc on HBO Max. It's fantastic, by the way. One of my favorite things is seeing what credit they give Spielberg in his lower third depending on what genre/era they're discussing. Sci-fi? Close Encounters. 40s era war movies? Saving Private Ryan. Hitchcock? Jaws. Musical might be the last genre that he hasn't directed so it should be fun.
Also, watch The Movies. It's unreal how many huge names they interviewed. It's a Tom Hanks production so I guess he has some pull...

Can never go wrong with more 70s movies. Watched the golden age episode last night, good stuff, thanks for the heads up

RE: the christmas movie discussion.
I watched It's a Wonderful Life for the first time a couple of years ago.
I don't have an opinion on the x-mas piece, but i appreciate how it explains the basic function of a bank to people.
