No Time to Die was very good. A little long, but very good. I'd put it solidly in third place for best Craig films behind Casino Royale and Skyfall.

That’s queued up as my next watch. Maybe tomorrow if I have the time.
Speaking of, if anybody comes across a non-cam quality Ghostbusters Afterlife, I would appreciate a PM.

I made it an hour into No Time to Die before I turned it off and threw on Hawkeye. I just don't care about Bond at all. Reading those spoilers makes me want to go back and finish it eventually though.

I really enjoyed King Richard. Will Smith will get some acting nominations (maybe producing, too). As a fan of late 80s - early 90s tennis, it was fun hearing (and seeing) the players of that era like Jennifer Capriati and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario etc. Who's not a fan of the Williams sisters at this point?

Joker is fine, but it's over-directed. Watching Joker dance in slow-motion in a bathroom was almost laughable. And of course even when he's doing prestige drama, Todd Phillips still can't resist putting in a gay joke.

'He's not the king of the world': Venus and Serena Williams' half-sister says 'King Richard' only tells 'half the story'
https://www.yahoo.com/news/hes-not-king ... 28965.html
In the early 1960s, Richard, 79, and Sabrina's late mom Betty Johnson married in Los Angeles and had five children: Sabrina, Richard III, 56, Ronner, 55, Reluss, 54, and Reneeka, 49, The Sun reports.
Sabrina told The Sun that she was eight and her younger sister was eight weeks old when Williams claimed he was leaving the house to buy her a bike. She said he never returned and went on to make a new life with his second wife Oracene Williams, Venus and Serena's mother. Sabrina claims she has only seen her father a few times since then.
"Truth be told, those girls rose to the top while his other children had to suffer because of the choices my dad made, we were raised in poverty after he left," she told the outlet.

I mean that’s mentioned in the film. He’s presented as a complicated and imperfect character.

Venom 2 took everything that was good about the first movie and went with that. bravo. This was a blast.
New Ghostbusters was also fun, I really enjoyed the younger cast.

Saw the Gucci movie over the weekend. Absolute garbage. Nothing interesting happens through the first two hours, and you could argue for the entire movie. Nothing is explained. Nothing is designed. No talk of competition and why Gucci was thought of like it was, no explanation of various relationship (starting or deteriorating). They had Lady Gaga and Adam Driver do fake Italian accents that were distractingly bad, it seems like their accent coach was Brad Pitt from Inglorious Basterds...Al Pacino got yet another chance to yell lines that didn't require any voice elevation, so that was nice. I can't tell if it was meant to be serious or not even...but it told no story. It was Godfather meets Succession but with none of the good aspects of either of them...

I actually wanted to see it a little bit myself. I brought it up and my girl and a couple of our friends went and saw it. It stunk. I just can't seem to really catch an interesting movie...back to back Ridley Scott flops and then Pig before that. I think my next target is that Lucille Ball biopic that's coming out, there's no way they can blow that...I hope...

When I think of the Ricardos, Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem do not exactly spring to mind. But it's also Aaron Sorkin, so......

8-Bit Christmas was a lot of fun, instant classic in our household. Fun having a Christmas movie have a plot that doesn't rely on Christmas; it could have easily been a birthday movie and worked just as well. You can see the A Christmas Story bleeding through but the scale and scope is so much bigger you can easily forgive that. Laughed out loud a couple of times and the heart strings are sufficiently tugged upon.
