Freddy vs Jason is a good time
I don't understand when fans of either series knock on it. How much better could it have been given what it is? It's the second best NoES movie (I don't consider part 2 to be part of the series. It stands alone). Jason's fist kill is spectacular. The plot is actually creative and brings the 2 together seamlessly. It's the best of both worlds and, as you said, a good time.

I also believe FvJ is actually NoES 7. It's an Elm Street movie with Jason in it.
All that greatness and you still failed to mention Monica Keena’s short lived prime.

I think we're starting the Halloween watch tonight too, as of now, getting right after it with The Thing 4K. Kids and wife first viewing and I'm very excited about this.

I need to order the Thing 4k thanks for the reminder....I also need to order some more horror movies to have some other things to watch during this month other than the usual movies we burn through.

I kicked off my 31 Days of Halloween marathon with The Monster Squad last night. Such a fun flick.

I love rocky IV for it's ridiculousness but is that necessary?

Keena is still with Edward Furlong? Hasn't he beat the crap out of her like three times at least?

One of my favorite films.

I started with Wes Craven's New Nightmare (to finish out the series). Not sure what tonight will be. Possible FvJ or The Thing.

"I'm in the gd club, aren't I?" is one of my all time favorite movie lines.

I'm not sure what I'm going with today. I've been meaning to make a list but haven't got around to it.

From what I read, Stallone decided to do this and then went to to the studio with it. Toning down the ridiculousness is apparently part of the goal, like no more robot for Paulie.

Free Guy was good. Loved the final action sequence.

The real question is will you watch and we both know the answer is YES.

Nothing better than the rocky IV training scene.

I enjoyed Venom LTBC. Only one thing,
Not sure why they took the path of making carnage a piece of Venom.

End credits: Very cool way to tie Venom into the current MCU

I watched Official Secrets on Netflix, about Catherine Gun, a former GCHQ official who leaked a document to the media proving that the NSA/CIA was trying to bribe UN members into voting for the Iraq war. Great cast, under two hours, and well directed. Not sure why more people didn't go to jail because of the lies involved in starting the Iraq war, but it is what it is.

Watched The Many Saints of Newark last night. Spoilered for plot and a second spoiler for my thoughts on the ending.
Definitely not what I was expecting, but I thought it was pretty well done. I thought it was the right amount of young Tony.
I wasn't expecting Dickie Moltisanti to be the main character. I thought it would be more about Johnny Boy and Junior. I would've liked to have seen a little more about the Crime Family.
Ending:
I fully expected to see Tony make his bones by killing Harold after Dickie's funeral. Maybe it was implied and we'll see that in a potential sequel.

Watched Maximum Overdrive and rec last night. Max Over knew exactly what it was from start to finish, so I respect that...

I was really drunk when watching rec, so I'm not sure how to feel about it...I'm one of those seemingly rare people that just doesn't care about the horror genre...it just elicits no emotional response from me one way or the other...

Every time I watch that scene it feels like a fever dream.

Day 2 was Escape Room. Cube did it first but this was fun. I watched Halloween and Halloween 4 on The Last Drive In after midnight so I'm counting those for day 3.

We watched No One makes it out alive or something on Netflix. It was ok. Didn't have time to watch anything last night so will try to watch two today.

We did get our Halloween decorations up in the yard today though.

I'm going to require at least one more viewing of The Green Knight. That bud was kicking in and at one point the king says do you understand your quest and I yelled at the TV: NO. Man, was that weird and cool and serious and slow and way different than I thought it was going to be.
Just watched it, completely sober, and had the same takeaway. Definitely a weird one, but I enjoyed it.
