Spaceballs is currently on TV. Much like Jurassic Park, I will always tune in to watch.

I’d like to point out that I, too, said to start with the original (and was the first to do so).

They decided to remake what was already a perfect movie in Sudden Death:

Good to see Michael Jai White again, though. He was the bomb as Spawn.

But basketball overtime isn’t sudden death. Should’ve done football and named it Sudden Death Unless the Receiving Team Scores a Field Goal.

Way too long of a commercial for a battery.

My fiancé also hadn't seen Ghostbusters, BTTF, Beetlejuice, Star Wars, Goonies. She introduced me to Johnny Dangerously, though. So big points there.

Oh, Johnny Dangerously is great. Reminds me of Pittsburgh, because we watched it on HBO in my dad's apartment in Oakland on our spring break (while he was at work. Great spring break lol). He had moved down to work at Pitt and commuted back home for a year until we moved there. Of course, Michael Keaton is in it, and I think one of the characters was from Pittsburgh. Might need to get my kids to watch that one.

I know Michael Keaton is a hoity-toity dramatic actor now, but I wish he'd make another comedy or two. Those early movies like Johnny Dangerously, Gung Ho and Night Shift were great.

Horror movie update:

We watch Midsommer and Cabin in the Woods. Hadn't seen either of them. Midsommer was good but more creepy than scary. Not nearly as good as Hereditary. I really liked Cabin in the Woods. I knew nothing about it. At first I was so annoyed that it was just another cliche horror with the stereotypical teenagers but when the twist comes I was delighted. Good stuff.

You shouldn't hang me on a hook Johnny. My grandmother hung me on a hook once... (pushes door open so he hits the wall)

Can I get some recommends for modern horror? We really liked Hereditary, The Strangers, The Witch, Get Out.

We’re watching The Descent tonight. I remember thinking it was good in the theater but I haven’t seen it in 15 years.

If you can, please watch the UK version. Not the crappy, US theatrical ending.

I bought the DVD a while back and never watched it. It’s the “Uncut Directors Cut” whatever that means.
