Point Break is **** great. I saw “Point Break Live” yeeeaars ago. The best part was right after the “Utah, get me two!” scene, the play literally stops and the actors sell meatball sandwiches to the audience.

Watched dirty dancing for about the 5th time this quarantine. Unreal how cool swayze is.

:face:
And I'm probably going to watch point break tonight. Sounds like you need some swayze in your life Jim. It's ok, let his sexiness drip all over you.
Swayze is fine. Watching Dirty Dancing 5 times in a couple of months on the other hand...

I understand, quarantine has created a monster.

I saw it in LA about 10 years ago. I just looked it up and shockingly it’s still running. If the world ever gets back to normal, and you happen to be in LA, you have to check it out. It’s a lot of fun.

For the longest time a guy who runs one of the comedy theaters here in PGH was hellbent on putting on Point Break live (he has LA ties). Never did come to fruition though.

TIL that Ray (Samuel L. Jackson) was supposed to die on screen in Jurassic Park:

Samuel L. Jackson has himself confirmed that he was supposed to head to Hawaii to film his final scenes, only for a hurricane to rip through the area, destroying all the outdoor sets.

Instead, Jurassic Park didn't shoot any more footage of Jackson, and just had Dr. Satler find his disembodied arm in the maintenance shed, which they were able to film back in the U.S. on an indoor stage. It's a disappointing outcome, but real-life circumstances demanded it be so.

Interesting. I think just finding his arm was better.

I don't know, that reveal is pretty great. I think this is a case of limitations creating a better end product. Spielberg is good for that. (I'm looking at you, Bruce.)

I agree, I thought that scene was perfect. Just funny how it came to be.

Samuel Jackson was in Jurassic Park?
Very minor role, yet had one of the most memorable lines in the entire movie.

Lecter escaping from Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall wearing that dude’s face is easily top five favorite/iconic movie scene for me. So **** tense.

Fun fact: When the typhoon hit Kauai and shut down JP filming, one of the cargo pilots that evacuated the production was the dude that played Jock ("That's just my pet snake, Reggie.") In Raiders Of The Last Ark. There's a cool Easter egg at WDW that references it, apparently; there's like a bar or refreshment stand called Jock's or something like that.

Outstanding.

I love world building stuff like that, and it's a big reason why Disney's biggest competition is their guests' discretionary pocketbook and not other theme parks.
