Book smart was pretty funny and honestly i laughed harder than i expected. I think there was a lot more smart humor in it and probably some subtle humor that I missed. I don't think it was as funny as superbad but was it worth the 3.99 we paid to rent it? I say yes

Watched The Upside with the family last night. It's about 20 minutes too long, but enjoyable and light.

Watched Deep Impact again last night. Not sure why but I've always loved that movie. Morgan Freeman is the best president.

If I had to rate Christopher Nolan's films*, the Batman trilogy would make up the bottom 3.

*I haven't seen Following and am not sure whteher or not I've seen Insomnia.

Going to be interesting to see how this turns out. So much detail in the book that will be hard to set to film

Nice to see the stillsuits. That's kind of what I mean though - are they going to explain the reasoning behind the stillsuits, or just let them be part of the wardrobe and that's it? There's plenty of political dialog and backstory that will make the movie too "wordy" if not handled right.

Did you read all the books Eddy? I read the first 3, but couldn't make it any further. It's going to be hard to adapt anything beyond the second book to screen for reasons stated above.

Maybe...

Don't get me wrong, I like the Batman movies, but if not for Heath Ledger and Tom Hardy they'd hardly be memorable. In fact, Rises would be pretty sh!t without Hardy.

Maybe I need to rewatch Interstellar... It was a chore to get through.

I've never read any of them, but I just downloaded the first on my Kindle. Looking forward to reading it

“Mutiny On The Bounty” was one of my all time favorite movies. A good old fashioned mutiny every now and then is an exciting and invigorating thing to watch, especially when the mutineers need so much from the Captain.

A few random thoughts on some movies that I’ve watched during this quarantine.
Creed II – Pretty entertaining, not as good as the first one. The writing seemed a little lazy like they just combined the plot of Rocky II and III with the characters of Rocky IV.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot – Bad. Really bad. Maybe I’ve just gotten tired of these characters or more mature (doubtful) but this just wasn’t funny or good.
Uncut Gems – This was entertaining and I thought Sandler was really good. I think it was rightly left out of Oscar consideration, but was a solid movie.
Aladdin (Live action) – I thought they did a pretty good job with it. Will Smith was a good choice for the genie. He put his own spin on it.

Ended up watching "Long Shot" with Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron the other night. Pretty funny overall. Could've used some cuts here or there. Solid outing though as far as the "raunchy rom-com" genre is concerned.
