Traveled for work with a hard-nosed dude in his mid-60s who gushed about La La Land for at least the first hour of our drive. I had to respect his complete lack of self-consciousness. It wasn't a guilty pleasure at all. It was just a pleasure. I pulled up the soundtrack on Spotify and we listened to it on the second half of the drive. He knew every word and would narrate what was happening during the instrumental portions.

Is it streaming on something right now...? I've never seen it.

Uh... Oh, that's interesting. That was my first time seeing it since the theater and I very much enjoyed it. I'll admit that Ryan Gosling is a fine looking human, but I'm not memorizing any of the songs.

Not streaming for free anywhere I'm aware of, but the 4k disc is gorgeous

Yeah dude was into it. He talked about La La Land like I'd talk about Star Wars. He went to LA on vacation and visited the filming locations.

@mikey , according to justwatch.com, you should be able to stream it on the USA app, oddly enough. Doesn't look like it's on any streaming service, though.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm sure a simple google search will yield movie results that I want, as it tends to do... :thumb:

This is a lot of fun. It's a higher or lower game of production costs. My highest so far is 13.

Yes I remember being so excited to watch Crash and then just feeling nothing at the end
I always get Crash mixed up with the drug movie Traffic. Their posters look very similar and the names confuse me.
Traffic was tremendous. It hit pretty hard, for reasons, and really gave me pause.
Ditto. Especially because of the Cincinnati part.
Yeah, same for me. Made for an uncomfortable 2 hours tbh.

OMG, I either get to 6 or 7, or I fail out of the gate. lol

Seems the only way I definitely get it right is if there's a large time gap in production of the two films.

Can't get more than 2 movies, but got 12 country sizes in a row.

Dolemite was excellent.

One thing I miss about the death of video stores is the serendipitous discoveries in a good, locally owned video store. We had a really good one in Clemson, which was partly owned by a couple of professors. Lots of wacky stuff, including most of Rudy Ray Moore's original Dolemite films. You would never find those in a Blockbuster in 1993.

We used to listen to his party records all the time, and used to yell "dodint are you for realll??" across campus to each other all the time. Ah, ignorant youth.
Just watched this. Agree, excellent movie. Terrific story. Great cast too.

It's been a looooooong time since I've watched that. Is it on any of the streaming services?

Nope, had to rent it. I bet it's been at least 20 years for me. It's so dumb, but so funny

Finally finished Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood. Ugh.

2:45 and could easily have been edited down to 1:45 and not lost any "story"/plot.

There is a big difference between a clever film, and a film where the writer/director is trying to say "look at how clever I am"

QT has fallen down that hole his last couple films. Bloated “look at me” exercises.

:thumb: Just got my high score of 49. Since I last played, the creator added a bunch of lower budget/older movies which makes some of the matchups much easier.
