I used to watch From Dusk to Dawn quite a bit in college. Can't imagine it would play well now.Watched Reservoir Dogs last night. I probably haven't seen this in 10 years at least. I remember being blown away by it when I was a kid, now not so much, not my favorite of QTs. It's a pretty good movie, just didn't do for me what it once did. It's raw, nasty, and grim. Kinda caught me off guard with how mean it was. I kept thinking that it would actually make a pretty good play. First thing my kid said to me when he woke up today was, what movie did you watch? They swore a lot!

I think it would probably still work for me, I don't mind the cartoony violence, but some of the more hardcore realistic stuff doesn't play well with me as much anymore.I used to watch From Dusk to Dawn quite a bit in college. As an enthusiastically heterosexual male, I can't imagine 'not playing well' is a thought that would ever enter my brain in regards to something in which Salma Hayek is not wearing much clothes for the duration her screen time.

I watched Reservoir Dogs back when it came out on VHS back in the day, once, and still get queasy when I hear Stuck in the Middle with You.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood...
What an interesting movie. Definitely Tarantino's most unique. There isn't much action at all and the dialogue is tame compared to other Tarantino flicks but it was still very very good
Margot was in it less than I expected but I think both Leo and Pitt will get nominated for Oscars, and I think both will have solid chances to win
I think a lot of people might end up not liking this but if you're a fan of film I think it's great

watched Men In Black on the big screen out back this weekend. That is a very fun movie, loved it. Also watched Field of Dreams. Man, what a weird terrific feel good movie. This one gets the water works going.

My wife hated it, I thought it dragged on too long. I thought DiCaprio was hilarious and made it worth it. Didn't care that much for Brad Pitt, I also thought it was a regressive anti-Pyncheon story. That it turned into a hippy bashing spaghetti western was so trite.Once Upon a Time in Hollywood...

That looks like something you watch in first year film class to show you the progression of horror following The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

very. please give me that olde timey sailor talk.
https://www.slashfilm.com/the-lighthouse-trailer/“I shot in black and white 35mm negative,” Eggers said. “It’s very tactile; you can see every pore of the actors’ faces. It’s not supposed to be like an old film but it does reference them. The square format was great for filming lighthouses and we had a special lens made to create chromatic film. For the language, my brother and I read a lot of period texts to absorb the vibe of how people spoke. Obviously, Moby Dick is great literature and Melville’s language was an influence. Willem’s dialect was that of a Maine farmer and Robert’s was a sailor’s dialect. We had a book by Sarah Orne Jewett of stories that were transcribed using dialects and that was an important source for us.”
