That voice crew is questionable.
Aside from James Earl Jones, that was the first thing I said to myself.

JEJ is one of those guys that you've become so accustomed to him just being there that when he does finally pass it will feel like a shock.

Evidently the trailer for the new “live action” remake of The Lion King debuted yesterday, and by live action they mean CGI.
Somebody ‘splain why this is necessary.

Agreed. I've been looking for a reason to watch it again and uh... this seems like a good one (understatement)

I was watching Anchorman earlier on HBO. That movie did not hold up well at all. I was cringing at a lot of the humor 21 year old me found hilarious.

Crazy Rich Asians was ok. Much more of a simple rom com that I figured it would be. Some of the characters were all over the place. Man, the super rich have some weird lifestyle. The Singapore location shoots were beautiful.

Finally watched the entire Bourne Identity. Very good. Now to continue with the series.
Finished the trilogy. It got kinda stale but still was what it was. Action in close quarters. Still it was all the same formula. Get Bourne, activate generic “asset” (Clive Owen and Karl Urban we hardly knew you) then Bourne kicks butt.

I’ll always watch them now when they come on TV but did it really warrant 5 movies and counting?

No, it should have stopped with the original three. The other two movies, while entertaining, are not worth watching again.

I just shared this on Facebook. Seems apropos of the movie thread moreso than the music thread because of the context.

This guy did pretty much all of the purpose-recorded vox tracks for Bohemian Rhapsody. I've been following the guy for a few years on social, so I wasn't super surprised that they got him to do Freddie's voice for the movie. This is so much beyond mimicry as to be uncanny. So many subtleties.

He has a few other FM videos on his YouTube channel if you're interested.

I’ve seen another video of him singing Queen while the movie was being made. I would pay money to see him tour with Queen over the crap (fight me, ****) they’re touring with now.

There’s no replacing Freddie, but this is the closest to his voice that I’ve heard.

Six or seven years ago, Brian and Roger organized The Queen Extravaganza, as sort of an officially-sanctioned tribute band. Martel auditioned and they were so taken aback that they were reluctant to hire him. The urban legend of the story is that, having just begun working with Adam Lambert, they were afraid that the cover band would have a better Freddie than actual Queen had.

That’s just **** absurd. Nobody has Freddie’s presence on stage, and nobody has his voice. I can actually believe the story because of Brian and Roger, **** dunces.

I don't know how they did it, well I guess I do, they got Kurt Russell to play Santa. The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix is terrific and one of the best Christmas movies out there. Holy **** was this great fun. Awesome for kids, families, or just adults, this movie was a blast. Well done Netflix.
