Indeed. We watched it in school when I was like 10 after reading the book in class. Don't think the teacher had ever seen the movie before. The Witches is the movie where the kids get turned into rats, right? That movie **** me up.

I remember we watched Watership Down in third grade. The whole class was bawling.

We watched Homeward Bound and I had to hide my tears. If you don't cry when Shadow finally shows up and limps toward the family, you don't have a heart.

My step-sister running around yelling "Cats rule, dogs drool!" all summer kind of killed that movie for me. We didn't even have a dog.

I am a crier. I watched Jimmy Stewart deliver his "A dog named Beau" poem on Carson the other night and couldn't even keep it together then. And I've heard the poem probably a dozen timesWe watched Homeward Bound and I had to hide my tears. If you don't cry when Shadow finally shows up and limps toward the family, you don't have a heart.

It sure does. Obviously, check out the documentary with the real Mark Hogancamp. Fascinating story: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1391092/

Incredibles 2 was a frigging blast. I love our theater in Downingtown, it's a Regal with the reserved seating and nice big electric recliners. Makes for a really nice experience, especially if it's the first showtime of the day and the theater is pristine.
That said...do people really find it necessary to take 1 year olds to the movies? There was one in the row behind us that was blabbering/crying the entire movie practically. At other times, he was up out of his seat and I could feel him messing with the back of my seat.

I dodinted about a recent and lengthy run of bad theater experiences with poorly behaved children and adults, but since that rant, things have been pretty good. I think staying away from the cheap theater is a major factor.

I actually had problems at the big city multiplex and found a small town one screen theater that has less of that.

Pacific Rim 2 was not good. I like the first one a lot, but they forgot about story, acting and dialogue in this one. oof

It's funny, the radio host down here was just talking about how he saw that this weekend. He mentioned that while he loves well-done "check your brain at the door" movies, this was one of those movies that was utterly terrible.Pacific Rim 2 was not good. Incredibly enjoyable movie. It's been a while since I've seen the original but initial impression was me liking 2 more than 1.

yep, they basically made it for kids (which mine liked, but not as much as the first). It pretty much felt like a bad transformers movie. It's funny, the radio host down here was just talking about how he saw that this weekend.
