Looks like the upper hand is on the other foot, Saddam.

We'll settle this the old Navy way: First guy to die LOSES!

I loved you in Waal Street.

Thufferin thuccotash!

Gabriella Sabatini? I get that all the time. It must be the nose.

He really was a wiener.
'I will kill you until you die from it.'

Excellent S Hussein line that I find myself using to this day....in benign ways. ..mostly.

Part Deux came out early enough in my life that I couldn't figure out how they got Saddam to play himself and why the military didn't find him on set and kill him. Kids are dumb, man.

The first Hot Shots is just as quotable, imo.

Put Robinowitz in a life raft. Have him row in circles until we return.

It could be days.

Then put some food in the life raft. For god's sake, man, do I have to think of everything? We'll tape his favorite shows, he won't miss anything.

Of course I'm alright! Why, what have you heard?
-
I've fallen for you like a blind roofer.
-
You know, I've personally flown over 194 missions and I was shot down on every one. Come to think of it, I've never landed a plane in my life.

A multi-opti-pupil-optomy.

I slipped on a crab. Who put that crab there?

I don't see any crab, sir.

Don't tell me. There were two crabs, they work in pairs.

God I love these movies.

Lloyd Bridges was so damned good in those films.

Downsizing wasn't very good. My expectations were completely misaligned, but even so the story is just not interesting. The core mechanism of the plot, the downsizing, wasn't even really important past the first 30 minutes. I assume it got an R rating for showing a lot of clinical, flaccid dongs.
Thanks for this (seriously). Now I know not to bother watching it.

"Hey, which Queen song should we use for the teaser?"

"Hell, I don't know. Why not all of them?"

I hope the movie is better than the trailer. Just jumping around like that wasn't fun.

As for Rami, he looks much, much more convincing with the mustache. No mustache... meh.

That movie looks terrible. Is there really a market for a whitewashed version of Mercury's life?

Also, Rami would have made a better Mick Jagger than Freddie Mercury.

Not for me.

If Sacha Baron Cohen made the movie he wanted, I would've seen it.

that better have a good story, because I'l stay at home and just watch my Queen live dvds if that's what it's going to be. I hope it's good, but I don't have a lot of faith in the project especially if it's salvaged from Bryan Singer before he left.

This is where I'm at, and have been since Sacha Baron Cohen was booted.

was he attached when Singer was directing? To me it would be the same thing, good look, terrible director.

Following Baron Cohen's departure, in December 2013, Ben Whishaw was mentioned as a possible replacement to play Freddie Mercury. Also at this time, Dexter Fletcher was selected as the film's director.[16] Fletcher removed himself from the project early the following year, amid reports of creative disagreements with King.[17] In August 2014, Whishaw suggested that the film was not progressing well and that there had been scripting problems.[18] Whishaw exited the project seven months later.[19] Rumours followed in 2015 that Baron Cohen had rejoined the project,[19] and also that Whishaw might return.[20]

In November 2015, screenwriter Anthony McCarten had become attached to the project, which now had the working title of Bohemian Rhapsody after the band's song of the same name.[20] A year later, director Bryan Singer was in talks to take over the direction of Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek was cast to play Mercury, and the film was being fast-tracked by 20th Century Fox and New Regency.[21] It was reported elsewhere in 2015 that Johnny Flynn was due to play Roger Taylor, and that Gemma Arterton would play Mercury's partner Mary Austin.[22]
Don't believe SBC and Singer ever overlapped. Also, Gemma Arterton is not in the movie, which is definitely something working against it. I had also completely forgotten that Singer was replaced by SSgt. John Martin, who was already hired to direct the movie once before.

At one point wasn't it reported that the surviving members of Queen wanted the first half of the film to be about Freddy and the second half to be about what Queen has done since Freddy's passing?

Wow, I've had the exact opposite reaction. Where everyone so far seems to have been "Oooh, Queen movie" and had a 'meh' reaction to the trailer, I was like "Meh, Queen movie" and after watching the trailer I'm all "Oooh!"

Huh, I just scanned the movie's Wiki and Larry Mullin (U2) is a billed character. Was there a Life Aid incident I'm forgetting?
