Isle of dogs was good. I’m not sure what people expected from it that drew such harsh online criticism. But such is life.

Saw avengers at Cinemark Monroeville in the XD theater and I gotta say, for $6.25 reserved seating, awesome sound and 4k laser projection, I don't think you can get better bang for your buck. I know a lot of people have said they like the home experience better than going out, but this theater with their cheap prices and high quality A/V has won the theater back over for me. Seeing avengers yesterday with that crowd was such a fun experience!

Movies are still made to be seen, and you respond to them differently, in a communal environment. It's just with the advent of 4K we're at the first point in history where home tech is equal to commercial tech in terms of picture quality.

I made the mistake of watching Justice League about 36 hours after seeing Infinity War. Talk about the tale of two movies. The story felt like something concocting for a Saturday morning cartoon that instead was turned into a feature length film. It's incomprehensible how bad the CGI and CGI characters were in this movie, especially in comparison to IW. I personally appreciated the ass shots of Gal Gadot, which were easily the best part of the film. Amber Heard also makes for an attractive Mera. The opening scene with Batman was actually pretty good and made it seem like Snyder might actually be capable of making a dark and gritty, detective Batman movie. The fight scene felt like it was straight out of the Arkham series. Overall the entire thing just felt like a poorly put together throw away movie. No idea where DC goes from here, but the next couple movies really need to not suck and will hopefully Flashpoint away this timeline.

My sister bought me a MoviePass subscription for Christmas that I'd been waiting for blockbuster season to activate.
I knew that it was a too good to be true deal, unlimited movies per month for $10. And that ended Friday. They'd already done away with all you could watch and limited to 4 times per month (that I don' think affected existing subscribers). But on Friday, the day the biggest movie of the year came out, they limited each movie to one viewing.
I'm curious how much more money Infinity War would have made it a bunch of MoviePass holders didn't buy tickets for whatever garbage they hadn't seen and walked into Avengers.

Did anyone see Infinity War? Was it good? I know there's a Marvel thread, but I'm pretty sure that spoilers were assumed, so I've avoided it.

Its very very good. If you like their other movies you will really like it. If you don't I doubt it will win you over.

everything is spoiler tagged pretty good in there. It was incredible. Top 3 for me. I like more of the cosmic space adventures with superheroes and this took that times 100. Very much could have played like a Thor and GoTG sequel. Actually, they could have also just named it Thanos. They completely nailed the villain and he deserves to be in the discussion as best ever in the genre with Joker from TDK.Did anyone see Infinity War? Was it good? Not true for the wife and I. Capt. America, Avengers, Age of Ultron and Civil war are all pretty close to the bottom of the marvel list for me, but this was top 3.Its very very good. If you like their other movies you will really like it. If you don't I doubt it will win you over.

Just saw Infinity War today, and it was DAMN good.
Saw Thor Ragnarok a couple days ago. The over-abundance of humor was really off-putting, even though I actually thought a good bit of it was funny. They took nothing seriously in the movie when some very serious situations were happening. My opinion on Ragnarok is very complicated because I wanted to like it, but just didn't sit well with me.
Infinity War struck a perfect balance for me, and it's exemplified through Thor as a character. I much prefer the demeanor of Thor in Infinity War.
