I'm actually surprised how bad it is. I don't know if it's supposed to be like empowering for 64 year olds to bang each other or whatever...but I was expecting it to be like, just sort of average, very movie trope-y nonsense, maybe one cheap chuckle, and a couple eyerolls...but it's just a toothache throughout.

There's also hardly any extras. They're on this beautiful beach on a beautiful day...not a soul around. They're in a hospital, where Keanu Reeves just constantly appears from anywhere like it's ****** Mission Impossible, there are no patients...no one is in the waiting room. The dumb old bag goes to the beach to collect..............rocks. Not shells. Not coins. Regular ass rocks.

I got through it by imagining that every time Jack stops and stares at another character and there's this beat and a half of silence, I just imagine a couple of pieces of toast popping out of the top of his head to break up scene. Other than that, it's such utter rubbish.

If it was an average movie, with average writing, and average interplay between characters...I'm fine. I go about my Sunday pleased as punch. But it's such ****** weapons-grade bologna that I can't stand it...

Anyway, good luck to you sir.
All I remember is that Jack Nicolson is an old rich guy and he's banging I think Amanda Peet, but then falls in love with her mom Diane Keaton. I might be getting it confused with another one of her favorites, It's Complicated.

She is a huge Diane Keaton fan, from other well known movies like Baby Boom and The Family Stone (which are in the rewatch collection).

What I love most about these scenarios will be when I'll sit down when the movie is on. I'll start chuckling at a scene because I think it's ridiculous, and i'll have "ruined it for her" by mocking it, and she'll stop the movie and storm off.

Haha.

Sometimes when my wife is watching a particularly bad Hallmark movie I'll start doing my own RiffTrax of it. She doesn't storm off but she doesn't love it either.

Haha sounds like me when a Coldplay song comes on the radio. I just mock them until my wife turns it off

My wife and I had like a drunken "let's just put on a movie and make fun of it" day last weekend. Then made a drinking game out of the Edmonton announcers for the Pens game that night.

If she was the type to storm off for something like that, I don't think we'd have a chance at making it haha

Just before my wife and I were married, and we had no money to go out on the town or anything like that, on Friday or Saturday we'd get either a case of beer or a couple bottles of wine, drag our mattress into the living room of our apartment, and look for the worst rated movies we could find (back when netflix still had the 5 star rating system) It would turn into our own MST3K, and it was glorious. I wish I could remember the one movie we watched. It was about a vampire, and it was...not good. But I don't think I've ever laughed that hard for 90 mins straight in my life.

The latest auction on Prop Store has a Tom Servo from the MST movie. He has been on the floor kind of hanging out in the background of the recent Adam Savage/Tested videos looking at other more famous lot numbers available. Like, the video is about Star Lord's jacket, and in the background Tom is in a cabinet with a Sormtrooper helmet and a Freddy Kruger makeup appliance.

Argylle was actually okay until the final 20-30 minutes where it went completely off the rails in terms of seriousness.

I really didn’t like Glass Onion. Not nearly as clever as it thought it was and there were a lot of “why would this character do this?” moments that took me out of it

Like a psycho I always enjoy having the Oscars on as background noise but boy have they reached peaked pretentiousness this year. If they're gonna blow smoke up the ass of every nominee this show is never going to end.

The Cena bit was pretty funny though. I bet he was so excited to get the call to be a presenter and thought that Hollywood was finally taking him seriously. And then he was pitched that.

Why does Gosling still look like he’s a plastic doll? (It’s fillers)

The Arnold/Danny Devito bit about Batman villains with Michael Keaton was pretty good

Wonka was a fun cute movie aimed at kids and families. I didn't like it as much as the Paddington movies, but I very much enjoy the whimsical worlds this director creates.

Ricky Stanicky was dumb fun. I laughed a bunch, probably more than I should have.
