Good song, interesting origin
Like many classic folk ballads, "The House of the Rising Sun" is of uncertain authorship. Musicologists say that it is based on the tradition of broadside ballads, and thematically it has some resemblance to the 16th-century ballad "The Unfortunate Rake", yet there is no evidence suggesting that there is any direct relation.[4] According to Alan Lomax, "Rising Sun" was the name of a bawdy house in two traditional English songs, and it was also a name for English pubs.[5] He further suggested that the melody might be related to a 17th-century folk song, "Lord Barnard and Little Musgrave", also known as "Matty Groves",[6][7] but a survey by Bertrand Bronson showed no clear relationship between the two songs.[8] Lomax proposed that the location of the house was then relocated from England to New Orleans by White Southern performers.[5] However, folklorist Vance Randolph proposed an alternative French origin, the "rising sun" referring to the decorative use of the sunburst insignia dating to the time of Louis XIV, which was brought to North America by French immigrants.

Ordered 3 items on Amazon. Two came in the same box (delivered yesterday to my doorstep), the third must have been in a separate box and the delivery not says it was placed in my mailbox. The item was not in my mailbox.
Who do I contact about this? Amazon or USPS? Amazon, right?

Yep. They'll take care of it, including contacting the delivery service (if it was shipped through Amazon and not a 3rd party), too.Source of the post Amazon, right?

Well, that was quick and easy. They explained that sometimes there are scanning issues and that a package gets scanned as delivered but it was supposed to be scanned as received at facility. They said if I don't get it by the end of the day today to contact them for a refund or replacement.

Anyone here know about plumbing?
How does a plumbing system determine what gets precedent when the system is in use?
Our shower on the first floor seems to be affected by the actions of the people who live on the floor above us. Our toilets use cold water, so if they flush, we get searing hot water. If they decide to wash their hands with warm water, we lose hot water momentarily. If the shared washing machine is on, the water temp and pressure wildly fluctuate depending on what part of the cycle it's in (granted, washer is on the first floor).
Is it all determined by what the appliance standard water pressure is? So like, if the toilet fills at a higher pressure than the shower head, it takes precedence over the shower?

I assume you live in a rather old building. So chances are the plumbing has no solenoids or any other valves other than on/off. With that said, most likely your plumbing is undersized. It was probably designed to have minimal fixtures, but somebody along the line thought, "why not split this unit into two and double the rent" and by doing so doubled the amount of fixtures.Anyone here know about plumbing?

Also, good chance the water heater is undersized.
tl;dr: pressure has nothing to do with it, it's flow based.

So what determines the flow then? At this point is it just whatever was on the most recent gets priority?

No priority, it has to do with a determinate amount of water being able to flow through a determinate size of pipe. The system is "requesting" more water (i.e. a toilet flush) but there's not enough pipe to allow it to flow through quick enough. In your case, the cold water can't keep up and you get scalded.
Edit: I should say there is a priority. Whoever is closer to the main water line will get the water first.

I'm not sure if this for here or "I need a ruling on this"...I feel like here is slightly better, plus, there's an active topic in the other one that is way more important...
This is more of a survey, though, than a legit question: What's your order of operations for doing wash in a top-load washer? Clothes, detergent on clothes, water. Water, clothes, then detergent. Water, detergent, then clothes. Other...?

I wonder what the newer top loaders do, as a lot of them have detergent reservoirs, so all you have to do is throw your clothes in and turn it on.

Now imagine that same scenario but it’s a “gentlemen’s club.”i used to do clothes then detergent until i went mini golfing with my ex and we went into the volcano or pyramid or whatever that had black lighting and the splashes from the detergent showed up, unflatteringly, we'll say
Talk about awkward.

I put in the clothes, add detergent, and turn on the washer. Although my washer has a hollow down the central agitator post where the detergent goes, so the detergent doesn't really go "on" the clothes.
