I un-subbed from that subreddit because it turned into "look what stupid thing I did 20 years ago please upvote and give me an award."

Having the oven door constantly open would drive me insane. I get stressed out enough when the island is cluttered.

Yeah, I gave reddit a try for a bit...but it's just...not...for me...

I started looking through some peer-reviewed (hi MiMH) scholarly medical journal articles and realized that was far too close to doing my own research. I don't know why I would do that when I have all of you not-a-doctors to ask.
Does the content of urine alter the urgency sensation? Sometimes my bladder feels fuller than the amount voided would seem to indicate. Wondering if urine has the ability to be 'denser' and makes me feel like there is more that needs to be expelled than truly exists.
Nothing sadder than an unfulfilling leak.

Reddit is like any other big site. Lots of crap with pockets of good content. Just gotta know what to look for.

might be a bladder issue. I recently started taking antihistamines due to hive outbreaks (allergist doesn’t think I’m allergic to anything, just random reactions) and a side effect of the pills is that the bladder has trouble emptying. So I pee small amounts and often. Now I know how 80 year old men feelI started looking through some peer-reviewed (hi MiMH) scholarly medical journal articles and realized that was far too close to doing my own research. I drink a lot during the day. It helps keep me from grazing on snacks. And I WFH. So I go to the bathroom about twice an hour, because it's convenient to do so. I was reading a study that said you'll perceive your bladder is fuller than it is if you don't get to control how often you go (think a long car ride or sitting in a movie). I think that partially explains it. Was just wondering if there was a physiological reason as well; specifically, as it pertains to urine density. This doesn't really apply to me because I drink of ton of water and I don't have many impurities on a given instance.

Correct. The big subreddits on All are hit or miss. Mostly miss. It’s the small niche subreddits with low sub counts that I like.Reddit is like any other big site. Lots of crap with pockets of good content. Just gotta know what to look for.

Another great find thanks to Reddit:

Look up "Interstitial cystitis." It's a condition where the inside of the bladder becomes irritated, and one of the main symptoms is feeling like you need to pee often. My late mother was a specialist in treating the condition when she was still working at her OB/GYN practice. Food has a major effect on the condition, and caffeine, foods high in acids (orange juice, vinegar, yogurt), foods high in potassium (coffee, bananas, melons), artificial sweeteners, monosodium glutamate, carbonated drinks, and tobacco can all exacerbate the irritation. My mother was of the opinion that interstitial cystitis is vastly under-diagnosed and that many people who get diagnoses like "overactive bladder" actually have interstitial cystitis.I started looking through some peer-reviewed (hi MiMH) scholarly medical journal articles and realized that was far too close to doing my own research. I don't know why I would do that when I have all of you not-a-doctors to ask.

Good piece of info.
On rare occasions I have the feeling like I need to go but I can't. That's obnoxious af, but it's not often.

My wife pees all. the. time. I am convinced it's mostly mental. Could also be genetic, as her dad is a chronic pisser. She'll go first thing in the morning, get ready for work, then go again 45 minutes later. And she only does that because she fears having to go before getting to work and getting stuck not having a place to stop. Can't say whether she ever has issues going or not, but it's boggles my mind how often she goes.
I am the exact opposite. Growing up, I would hold my piss in for long periods of time, to the point my sides hurt. Perhaps that "stretched" my bladder at an early age. It also makes for some glorious leaks first thing in the morning. I've timed myself beyond the 1 minute mark multiple times.

That's exactly the same as my wife and I. On Saturday I pissed in the morning and didn't go again until that evening. I drank about 3 liters of water that day as well. She, on the other hand, went 4 times before lunch...

I mean, I don't whizz at night unless the little guy wakes me up, but I don't hold it all day either. Seems silly.

I go every night between 12:30am-1:00am. I'm up reading anyway, but it's kind of an insurance trip so I don't get woken up a half-hour early. Even if I wake up early I'm not getting out of bed so it's more of a comfort thing than a need.

sometimes I swear something is wrong with the amount of times I go during the day. I drink a lot of water and coffee so it is what it is. Maybe once an hour, a little more frequent after coffee. But I never have to get up overnight and go so physically I know I'm fine

I pee once between when I wake up and lunch. Between lunch and dinner? I go like every 45 minutes. Then once between dinner and bed. Never. Ever. In the middle of the night.

Yeah, I never have to pee in the middle of the night. Meow is probably having salted coffees all late morning and early afternoon, thus going into diuretic/fountain mode...
