Ashley Furniture is junk, imo. If you have a Rooms to Go where you are, I have had really great luck with them.

There's a place called Tubbies Bedrooms and Mattress near the mall. That seems legit

We bought a bedroom set from Levin a few years ago. One of those made by the Amish collections. When I took it apart to move it much of it was made from the finest screws, staples, and particleboard.

So long as no electricity was involved.

That’s one of the things I worry about. Buying from a furniture store and the product being no better than Walmart stuff. We bought a bedroom set from Levin a few years ago. Mine lasted 14 years but should have been replaced at least 4 years earlier so that sounds right. I miss it though. I'll definitely buy one again some day. We've had a Sleep Number bed for around 10 years now. Probably time to replace.

Did you have one of the splitty adjustable deals? Ours is a 1-piece flat jobber, and I think we're probably gonna get an adjustable one next.

I have not purchased bedroom furniture from them, but two office (gaming) chairs and a couch, but I really like Wayfair. My dad bought a bunch of stuff a few years ago - bookshelves, desks, entertainment center - and it was high quality. You do have to assemble it, which sucks.
Customer service was good, too. Our couch was supposed to come in two boxes, and when one never shipped, they expedited the second box and it came the next day.

Amish furniture is one of the biggest scams out there, and I say that living within 20 minutes of a half dozen places like that. Just look for the "Made in China" label.

Nah this was back in 2006. Didn't even have the number on the remote. I did love that I could move my entire bed in a Honda Accord in one trip though.Did you have one of the splitty adjustable deals? Ours is a 1-piece flat jobber, and I think we're probably gonna get an adjustable one next.
I'm still using the frame from my select comfort. Better than a box spring.

When I went to Jamaica in 2007 I bought a wooden photo book. When I was there last month one of the vendors, he was maybe 18, tried to sell the same exact book to me and said "I make these at home". No you don't. There's a made in China sticker on the inside of the back cover and I bought one 14 years ago.

I find the big box names like Rooms to Go and Ashley to be so overpriced
There’s a place near me that orders direct from the manufacturer and transports it to their location themselves so it’s a bit cheaper (I think that’s what they do at least). I’d recommend finding something like it: https://goo.gl/maps/mh8AopQq5CzEyk4Y9

Ashley definitely has affordable furniture, but it’s not quality. We checked them out when looking for a new sofa, and left with just a set of wall wine racks. Mealey’s was the same way, but I think they closed all of their stores down a few years back.

I need a new sectional sofa and went to a couple places and it was so **** long to get new furniture in, I just gave up. Need some help here

what’s the thought process behind when someone (or maybe more specifically females since they more commonly wear non-wedding rings) decides what finger to wear a (non-wedding) ring?
I’ve never worn one and likely won’t wear a ring until I get married but I was curious

I wear some turquoise rings that have been in the family, and my process was whichever fingers they fit on, I put them on. I realize this probably doesn't help, but you are welcome.what’s the thought process behind when someone (or maybe more specifically females since they more commonly wear non-wedding rings) decides what finger to wear a (non-wedding) ring?

This is probably too specialized to ask here but, whatever.
I'm trying to resize a book cover so I can send it out via my mailing list. I need to get it under 2mb. That should be easy, right? Nope.
In photoshop, I'm resizing this image down to 900x600 pixels, quality 8, and it keeps coming out as a 5mb jpg. I can't understand what in the world is going on. I have photographs that are approx. 6500x4700 and the quality is set at 10 and they're barely larger than 5mb. Even dropping the quality on the cover all the way down to 2 still gives me a 4.5 mb image.
I must be doing something wrong but I sure as heck can't figure out what.
