Zero fault to MR25 for not finding it because it has a painfully stupid thread title, but we do have a coffee thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2991
Yeah but my question was a stupid one lol
no stupid questions thread
Fair.
That thread is probably over your head. Somebody brought up 'white coffee' and then the thread died.

To be fair someone was talking about his "milk wand" after the white coffee discussion.

Coffee cans (Folgers. etc) used to be 3 lbs and now they are far less. Just like ice cream used to always be 1/2 gallon.Really irritated that coffee bags are now shrinking to 11 or 10 oz.
I still drink Folgers and it's far superior to what they sold, say, 20 years ago.

Remember when soda came in 3-liter bottles? The '80s were the best.

Yep. And honestly, I'm surprised they never came back - especially given how big things are now. Go to the movies and get a small soda, and my kid could practically swim in it.

I've been using the Kicking Horse Cliff Hanger Espresso for quite a while now. I buy the 2.2 pounders directly from them when they have discounts.FWIW, I swear by this stuff, and have recommended it to multiple friends, most who have switched to it full time like myself:

Dark roast, smooth as hell, not at all bitter. It's perfect.

That's good to know, because I've been eyeballing that for a while now. I have just been using my Kick Ass for when I make lattes or cappucino because I have it on hand.I've been using the Kicking Horse Cliff Hanger Espresso for quite a while now. They look weird without the big cap on the bottom, though.

Wait why is the RC Cola blue? I thought it was just a Coke knock off?

There used to be reinforced plastic on the bottom. That's what's blue.
I remember taking the empty glass pop bottles to our local grocery store for recycling.

Have you tried iced coffee? Much less bitter.I didn't trust myself with the janky old coffee machine they have here so I'll have to have someone show me how that works if I decide to continue this exploration.

When I was in college I forced myself to drink black coffee. It took like 4 days to acquire the taste and I've never gone back

Ah. The reinforced bottom on the Coke bottle just looks like Coke so I didn't think anything of it.
Today was only the 2nd time I've had coffee outside of a wedding (and only because it was served to me without my input). Have not tried iced yet.Have you tried iced coffee? I don't drink coffee but I drink lattes. Iced lattes are infinitely more drinkable for me than hot. I feel like the bitterness is multiplied when it's hot

I’d try going to a couple different places for cold brew. Might be an easier gateway. Starbucks ain’t bad. Dunkin blows. Most local places have good stuff I am partial to coffee tree roastersThere used to be reinforced plastic on the bottom. That's what's blue.

Or cold brew. Add a couple scoops of ground coffee into water, stir it, and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Definitely smoother.Have you tried iced coffee?
