Looks like James Marvel is going to start on sunday. So all of DD's demands are being met.
My goodness. Wonder how long till Hayes and Craig.
Narduzzi remains gainfully employed.
Until Saturday's disaster...

Classic Pirates though. Essentially unlimited rosters, but wait until Sunday to call-up a guy who is already here because **** having to pay him less than $10K for the couple days before his start.

- Cool moment with the Brothers Moran. Brian went from college to AAA in 2 years and then took 7 years to go from AAA to MLB. That has to wear on you.

- I have concerns that Hartlieb and Markel might be awful.

- Announced attendance of 9,642. 40 ahead of 2018.

The images of attendance are embarrassing. It looked like there were 12 people there last night.

Dave Dombrowski - fired. Neal Huntington - still gainfully employed. What a world.

Weekend series with a Cards did good for Nutting's wallet on the fake attendance numbers. Now 444 ahead of last year with 9 home games to go, including a series with the Cubs and a weekend series with the Reds. Need to average less than 11,287 per game to fall below last season.

Saw this awesome headline on the Pirates website:
Bucs' starting INF likely to remain same in 2020
I mean ****, at this point I expect nearly the entire roster to stay the same for 2020.

Williams
Musgrove
Brault
Archer
Keller
One of their many scrub bullpen arms
Stratton
Crick
Feliz
Rodriguez
Santana
Kela
Vazquez
Stallings
Bell
Frazier
Moran
Newman
Reynolds
Marte
Polanco
Diaz
EGon
Osuna
Reyes/Martin

he is an FA

also, I question the use of the term "back" which implies he was here in the first place

Chisenhall is one of the biggest mysteries on this team. He's had little to no contact with the Pirates and has been recuperating at home in NC since April or May, whenever he got hurt.

Wouldn't you think he would have to check in with the big club in person from time to time? Even the Pirates training staff chuckle when asked about him during their weekly injury roundups. I guess the contract is guaranteed, so they have to pay him, but it's still very strange. The Tommy John crew checks in from time to time, and are actively rehabbing down in Bradenton. The Chisenhall thing is just bizarre.

Oh man. I forgot about this triumphant return. Put him into the scrub bullpen arm spot. Or maybe keep that and throw him into Keller's spot because it might keep him from Super 2 status or something. Endless possibilities.

what happened was he antonio brown'd us and STILL got his money. hindsight, but the pirates could learn from a franchise like the raiders and not guarantee money to troubled stars like chisenhall

Probably need to make sure that only one of Crick, Kela and Vazquez return in 2020.
