13 million for Dupree and Chickillo
Patriots were in on Anthony Chickillo at similar deal to what he just signed with Pittsburgh, two years for $8 million. Chickillo said it was tempting but he wanted to win with Steelers. “It’s funny everybody’s counting us out,” Chickillo said. “You still have to play.”
Chick is a good special teams guy and a dependable 3rd OLB. Dupree is the problem and his salary is just the nature of the 5th year for a 1st round pick. Can’t imagine he’ll be back after next year.
If the Steelers were serious about fixing this culture problem. They'd have cut him when he was congratulating AB

Michael Irvin and Marvin Lewis just said Roethlisberger biggest problem is he never points at himself but he always points at others.
The national coverage of the Steelers is pathetic. Marvin Lewis' worthless ass should find another profession.
WTF Ben craps on his own performance all the time.

Leave it to a coke head and perennial failure to have an awful take on the situation. Like tif said, Ben shits on himself all the god damn time, and he's always the first to do so.

Any analysis on the Steelers signing Donte Moncrief? 6’2” 216lbs. Is this guy a DHB replacement?

Moncrief is good. Big body, uses it well, useful hands, was a RZ threat for us, has some surprising speed for his size (if nothing changed from his time in Indy)...problem was he couldn't stay on the field...I'm not sure he's really big on drinking that work-ohol, but I don't know what WR life is like, only truly being a factor for like 6 out of 150 plays per game...I just don't recall being anything strong in the downfield blocking game, nor do I really notice that unless someone is top-shelf anyhow...

I definitely would have wanted him back over Funchess coming in...definitely. He's a good WR2 for me based on the talent he showed in Indy...it's been a year though...in Jacksonville...so who knows with how the NFL works...

I'm going to ignore anything that ever happened in Jacksonville for obvious reasons.

A seven-man Pittsburgh Steelers contingent, including head coach Mike Tomlin, watched some of the Clemson scrimmage Wednesday.

Clemson's weakness is in the secondary, so maybe they are looking at some d-line replacements? Or just doing due diligence.

Steelers ILB L.J. Fort signs a three-year deal with the Eagles that can reach up to $10 million with playing time incentives, according to a source. The deal includes $1.9 million in guarantees. Steelers made efforts to keep him but he had other suitors.
Haha, we finally get to drop him, AND he goes to the Eagles. This is a win/win.

The last two years have been a roller coaster ride for Eli Rogers, but he is hoping the ups and downs have settled now that he has been signed by the Steelers to a new two-year contact.

I can't recall anything Eli Rogers has done that would make me excited about his new contract.
