Ben keeping quiet was 100% the correct way to handle the last couple months
Oh absolutely. I think him just moving on and ignoring the situation when he comes back "only focus with people on the team, etc. etc." will best serve him.

I do think it's time to cancel the radio show, because it is annoying to hear the "he's earned his right" stuff.

Also, rumor has it that Oakland was prepared to offer a 1st for AB, but pulled back once they saw that SF and AZ dropped out, knowing that Buffalo wasn't an option.
I would love to see the Steelers rescind the offer, just for the lol's on AB's twitter.

Technically, it’s still Steeler related until Wednesday.

There’s still a chance that the pen slips out of his hand each time he attempts to sign his contract.

When he does hold onto it, he signs a few inches short of the line

AJ Green is an UFA after this season, Tyreek Hill after this season, and Julio Jones after 2021. Good luck with being the highest paid WR for the next three seasons, **** piece of ****.

Pretty sad state of affairs for the Brown camp that they want to frame this whole tirade as a contract complaint, as opposed to him being a lunatic.

Did they really have a choice, Troy? If you're the PR guy for Chernobyl, you want to steer away from the meltdown in your press release...

I did. It was okay but way overpriced for the quality of the food. Plus, it's in Cranberry.

i thought it was kind of weird that the offseason national media coverage started with the long article about AB's jagoff behavior (i.e. not staying in the dorms during training camp) and ended with a general agreement among national media members that AB is just a guy looking to be fairly compensated.

I think we all witnessed some four dimensional chess from rosenhaus and are having trouble piecing it all tougher. His client wanted out so AB went on this orchestrated meltdown, submarined his value to screw over the franchise, got him out and a nice pay raise.

So Rosenhaus told him to throw furniture out the window and almost kill a kid?

Nah, that was caused by Ben calling him out for running the wrong route.

I think the more likely story is (1) AB is an insane person; (2) Rosenhaus understood that letting AB behave this way would inure to his benefit if and only if he knew the Steelers would blink and move him for a below market return (that same depressed market created by (1)). The Steelers blinked, and my takeaway from this is that Art II failed. As much as I don't want to go max-Yinzer and talk about what Dan or Art Sr. would have done because the NFL is very different in 2019 than it was for the decades his dad and grandfather were in charge...but its hard to see either of them caving like this.

I was nearby on Saturday. Had to drive up to Cranberry to pay Pure Hockey a visit. I remember seeing signs for Seven Fields exit and thought about stopping in on the way back. Ended up in the wrong lane and figured I'd stop in next time I was up that way.

Yes, agreed. They should have left his big chest rot on the bench

Looks like every free agent who I thought could help the Steelers have already signed and for way too much money. Onto the draft I guess.
