In the past couple interviews I've seen of him, I'm not sure he knows what year it is...

He actually believes he has a say in any of this. From liking images of him in 49ers gear to hanging out with TO and Rice to saying "goodbye" to the fans while he's still under contract... He really believes he holds some sort of power. The Steelers will let him rot on the sidelines before simply releasing him to be free to sign where he wants. He'll get traded to **** Buffalo and like it.

Good **** riddance. Take Tomlin and Bell with ya.
Yes. I hope we trade him to the **** Bills.

At this point? He'd be kept for the remainder of the contract and be told not to come to the office. I'd pay him to stay away and in the process do all I could to keep him from gaining personal accomplishments. Eff this guy.

This is the kind of bitter spitefulness that I fully endorse.

It's not even about spite, though. The Steelers have nothing to gain from releasing him and they've already shown they have no problem letting a star player jet ski in Miami rather than release him.

Well they didn't have to pay Bell, so why give another team an advantage?

The argument here is that unless I'm getting a first-round pick, I'm not interested in dealing with anyone, and I'd rather keep this guy on my team, rotting, rather than trading him and giving in to his demands.

Last I heard, they were considering tagging Bell again and then trading him. No chance they just let AB walk, either. He's still a valuable ass... et.

Not trading him and letting him rot will hurt his ego more than trading him to a dumpster team.

Exactly. Don't give him what he wants. Make an extreme example out of him, and hurt his legacy. I'm very much scorched-earth on this one.

He burnt the bridge. Steelers should refuse to put out the fire.

He's already doing a bang up job hurting his legacy. The Steelers don't really need to help him with that. Though, I agree. Let him rot.

AB is good. very good. there are very few players that carry a replacement value where i think eh - no big deal that we lost AB. and none of those players will be coming to the steelers through any sort of transaction. if AB is to go, i will miss ABs performance on the field and we will see a fierce decline in jujus productivity.

Jury is out on that. We probably said the same thing about AB without Sanders/Wallace

The worry that I have is all this public sht flinging is forcing the Steelers' hand, and thereby depressing his return value.

We all say "trade him to Buffalo" as punishment as if Buffalo has no say in the transaction.

Agreed, if anything - the Steelers have shown that they can find and replace people within that position from the draft. JuJu will take a hit, sure - but if there's a team that I think can find someone else, it's them.

while i don't disagree with this train of thought, sanders was very successful post ben. wallace was a one trick pony and when he lost a QB that could throw the deep ball he was ineffective.

That's irrelevant to this argument. He drew attention away from AB when he was in Pittsburgh. Not that there's any guarantee Juju will thrive just as well, but I feel comfortable given the Steelers track record of developing WRs. In fact, I think this opens things up for Washington to make a jump

AB is going to be a major loss, I just wouldn't write off that the Steelers would be screwed without AB. I think that position has been their strength over the years in replacing guys.
