That was possibly loudest Heinz Field has ever sounded on TV. Heinz just never seems to be "rocking" the same way that Three Rivers used to. That toilet bowl sure did keep in the sound.

I frequently ridicule stiller fans, but a good here we go stillers chant is hard to beat. This post stirred up some old 3 rivers stadium memories.

The Steelers are undefeated while wearing the color rush unis.
Not that I think this is in the cards, but in the 100:1 shot the Steelers make the Superb Owl, and given how superstitious they were about the white unis, do you think they'd wear these colors during the playoffs?

BTW, speaking of Romo, he is **** awesome. His enthusiasm feels honest and his ability to read the defense and breakdown the coverage in real time, often before the ball is even snapped, is insane. I wish he called every Steelers game.

That was the first time in the near 20-year history of that building that I can remember hearing a TV announcer sound like he was having a hard time hearing himself talk over the crowd.

Well, they're calling the New Orleans game next week.

And I agree. Even if you don't break down the nuts-and-bolts of his analysis, his enthusiasm is outstanding. He has been a real find, and I must admit that before I listened to his first game I was skeptical. :thumb:

Samuels has had a really good night.
More proof RBs are interchangeable. F Bell, etc.
If the Steelers lock up their playoff position next week, they should start Ridley in week 17 and give him the chance to run for 100 vs the Bengals.

Drive that point home about how interchangeable they are.
"In today's episode of Killing Your Team's Morale, we follow the Steelers running backs as they are used in committee to flip two fingers up at one of the most talented players to wear the black and gold in a generation, because, well, he's a git."

One of the most talent players in a generation... who is adequately replaced by a 3rd round pick in his second season and a 5th round pick in his rookie season.

Something about that doesn't jive.

He deleted his Twitter account today. At first I thought it was because fans were harassing him. But no, it's because he Kevin Harted himself.

Yes, I would agree with this. ;)

Perhaps in a few years when Conner is seeking (and may well get) the richest running back deal in NFL history we can revisit this notion of 'replace'.

Don't get me wrong, I was fully on board the Conner wagon. But let's not kid ourselves; he had seven games of production, vs multiple years.

I find it more offensive that someone will go and seemingly look to destroy a person's life for stupid things they said on Twitter, versus actual poor play. This world sucks.

What he said wasn't even bad, and the fact that people actively do this sucks.

I mean, there's a pretty easy way to avoid this. Don't say homophobic things on social media. Actually, how bout just don't say homophobic things?

Sure, I don't disagree - but I'm not going to sit here and play high horse because I'm pretty sure what he said in those tweets was said by almost everyone when they were younger. I wouldn't put it on Twitter, for sure - but in the age of outrage, no person can make mistakes like that and apologize for them without being completely shunned. He was 22, he said stupid things. I think it could be recognized and people can learn/move on from it. Trying to get him fired because of it, is just gross, imo.

I get it, but that sounds like something a 13 year old would say, not a 22 year old. He was younger, sure, but he was at an age where he should've known better.

And for the record, he should not be fired for it. He should be fired for sucking at his job.

Conspiracy: The team leaked the tweets so they could nullify the contract through a character and fitness clause.

Pretty sure Romo threw a Pick 6 a few years back at Heinz just after Renegade was played during a TV break or timeout.

Eh, we can agree to disagree. There's no defense for it, but I don't suspect it isn't more common amongst friends than anything.

Also, I agree his play should be fired - that's why I think it's terrible to try and drum up controversy because a person disagrees with the decision to keep a struggling player.

Found it!

Yep, Romo. Two plays after Renegade.
