I’m not one to rally against officials, but that crew was straight up rattled last night. It was like a snowball going downhill
For all the desire to pile on the refs, players can't control bad officiating. What they can control is how they play the game, and the Steelers had errors of execution that resulted in something like a -15 point swing. Between Ben missing a wide open receiver with no defender in the same ZIP code (settled for FG, -4), two defenders who broke the Boelcke Dicta and converged on the same target in the end zone and collided (int would've ended LAC possession with no points, -8), and the shambles at the end of the game (offsides penalties negated a miss and a block and gave LAC two untimed downs to retry the kick, -3), there's more than enough game tape to keep them occupied this week. And those are just the eff ups on scoring or potential scoring plays.
Those self-inflicted wounds exactly offset the points given up directly on the missed penalty calls.
