Don't you speak ill of Abraham.I stopped watching this show once it turned into a Sy-fy original. As soon as the phony, goofy looking Army guy showed up with the doctor that knew how to stop it all I was done.

He was a trailer park version of Duke Nukem. **** Abraham.Don't you speak ill of Abraham.I stopped watching this show once it turned into a Sy-fy original. As soon as the phony, goofy looking Army guy showed up with the doctor that knew how to stop it all I was done.

I jumped off at the end of the Negan reveal when Abraham was killed. Not because he was killed, he was a dope, but I knew that was the beginning of a long period of filler.
Then I saw a commercial with a tiger and knew I was done.

The inconsistency of Carol didn't help things.
Did they ever kill Enid? Yes, pls.

I watched an HBO documentary about guys in supermax prisons who were also in solitary confinement. One of the guys had tried to murder a fellow inmate by cutting his throat and said, in a very matter of fact way, something along the lines that "It's really hard to cut someone's throat with all the muscles and tendons and ****".

It's even harder to save someone who got their throat slit in a post-apocalyptic non-sterile world.
My girlfriend ruined TWD for me a while when she asked the simple question: "where do they get all that gasoline?"

Getting gasoline should be fairly easy, no?

I also like how they find random cars that haven't been driven in 4+ years and they start right up. No dead batteries. It's even harder to save someone who got their throat slit in a post-apocalyptic non-sterile world.

Gasoline is good for about 8 months once it gets to its final destination. After a year there wouldn't be any left if nobody is refining crude and creating gasoline. Diesel will go up to a year if stored well.
The idea of just driving around and taking it out of cars or even gas station tanks is unrealistic.

Yeah, one of the show runners copped to that suspension of disbelief relatively early in the series. I think the comics use horses, IIRC.
In the Destroyermen book series - about WWII U.S. and Japanese naval vessels slipping to alternate Earth - they happen to have a Dutch Shell Oil employee onboard, plus a bunch of oil well drillers as crewman...so they find their own crude to refine into both ship's fuel and aviation gas. It's a stretch, but it's plausible.

So I guess Daryl will take over as the lead. Ratings are going to dive even faster.

Killing off Rick in a surprise twist would have been pretty epic so this announcement only makes sense if they want to try to lure viewers back in (Only 5 more shows! Will he die and how?) to see how it plays out. Cheap ploy, imo.

I'd rather see Negan's redemption arc. They haven't had Daryl speak more than 1 sentence since like season 5. Either way, the second Rick goes, I'm gonna go ahead and just assume TWD ended right there. Killing off Carl seems even more stupid now than it did before. So I guess Daryl will take over as the lead. Ratings are going to dive even faster.
