They have to, and it's been a problem for a very long time now.

I don't know how to look for distance stats, but as of week 3, the Steelers have the 4th best 3rd down defense in the NFL.Do the Steelers give up more 3rd and 10+ yards or does it just feel like that?

Where they are in trouble, however, is oppo first downs per play. They're bottom ten there, which means the bad guys often pick up first downs before getting to third down.

4th best? The rest of the league must be a dumpster fire.

I think those plays tend to stick out more and seem worse in hindsight

He had some other odd comment. I heard it on the radio this morning but can't remember exactly what it was.Did anyone see Ben's presser after the game?
Came out and immediately said "Before we get started, I want to apologize to Antonio Brown for throwing behind him on that last third down." Or something very close to that.
WTF? Did AB apologize for letting a ball or two go through his hands last night?
But I guess whatever it takes to make peace.

Oh it was the drama question.. "what helps you get through the drama"... he goes "uh, we're used to it?"

I remember complaining about the constant opposing 3rd and long conversions 10 years ago. Definitely some confirmation biasI think those plays tend to stick out more and seem worse in hindsight

“300 over 180. That’s normal...for a Stillers game.”
