:face:
A 22-year-old falcon mascot of the Air Force Academy was injured during the football team's trip to New York to face Army this weekend.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported that Aurora, a well-known school mascot for over two decades, suffered an injury to both wings when she was abducted by West Point cadets in a prank gone wrong.

The injury could require the bird to be euthanized because of its age, Air Force sources told the newspaper.

"USAFA mascot Aurora was injured over the weekend and is being transported back to Colorado," academy spokesman Lt. Col. Tracy Bunko told the Gazette. "We have specialists at the academy who have the best training and facilities for her care. She is part of our academy family and we are all hoping for her full and speedy recovery."

Aurora has been an Air Force mascot for over 20 years. Brian Losness/USA TODAY Sports
Army and Navy have a long tradition of stealing each other's mascots ahead of games, but no one had previously been able to take an Air Force falcon.

West Point cadets took Aurora from an Army colonel's home, according to the Gazette.
Their lives about to suck.

I didn't think LSU was that great, mainly because of their aforementioned offense. But yeah, no one is beating Alabama.

So Clemson dummied Louisville, 77-16. Another d-tackle got a rushing touchdown, and even Will Swinney (Son of Dabo) got a TD.

I’m my iPad and can’t get the url that works with the site’s YT plugin, but big guy touchdowns are the best.

492 rushing yards for Clemson. Was Louisville even trying?

They are similar to penn state in the sense that they have nothing to play for. Except trace mcsorely...he has nfl and heisman ambitions.

Going to see Stanford v O State today. No rooting interest whatsoever, just looking to be entertained for a few hours.

They were forced into that decision because on the TD to make it 41-41, the kicker yakked the XP. It's not like the XP is a 33-yarder like the NFL. It's a bloody 20-yarder from down the middle. So Gundy decided to try to grab the game right there and the QB made a **** throw.

So Stanford v Oregon State was a blast. They do pre-gaming pretty great: They have junior people from the coaching staff in a tent running through game tape and doing Xs and Os stuff, which I thought was pretty cool. And there was a D-I wrestling match going on in the tailgate area (vs SF State), which was a bit weird, but okay.

The stadium is pretty small (50,000 seats or so), and it was just a friends-and-family crowd of 34k. The there is an outdoor concourse that's rimmed by trees that's very pleasant to walk around. Then you get in and there's a drum major or someone dressed up like a tree and fans chant "FEAR THE TREE", and it's all quite silly. The only bummer was there are no alcohol sales for consumption within the main seating bowl. (Not sure if it's available in boxes or in designated booze rooms)

I don't think that receiving $14M buyout qualifies as "karma", but - good riddance! :)

Any normal year I'd be pumped for it, but I don't think Charlotte twice in a month is ideal. I bet they'd stay away from Pitt

Not sure they'll want Pitt to come back to Charlotte after how bad Clemson kicks their *** there.

Camping World vs. Texas is probably the one I would prefer if I was a Pitt fan, anyway.

But they need to win 8 games and hope the more attractive ACC bowl draws (Miami, VT) don't become bowl eligible. And even if they are a mess right now, last year aside, Miami normally handles Pitt pretty well I feel.

Obviously living in the Charlotte area has me biased, but I agree.

Match up wise I'd love Arizona State or Texas.

Idea of playing Wisconsin bores me already.

Kyler Murray attempts to recreate Bo’s iconic two sport photo as part of his Heisman campaign.
Favorite comment was that he looks like 3rd grade Bo.
