They’re good, yes, but Eastern Michigan isn’t all that great. On Sunday, Duke struggled with Army until pulling away in the final 10 minutes. Duke’s headed to Maui next week so we’ll see what they do against consistent competition.

Thompson IV for EMU is an NBA prospect, so curious how he and Zion fared vs each other. The rest of EMUs team sucks and plays a stupid zone

Scene from the first college hoops game I've attended this year. South Dakota State travels to Dunk City to take on Florida Gulf Coast. FGCU beats the Jackbunnies 84-78 after one particular ref had it in his head that he was going to foul out SDSU's best player, Mike Daum (look him up, he's a good one), with a pair of questionable offensive foul calls. Rabbits led by 13 late in the first half, FGCU shot their way back in the game but SDSU had their 3 best players foul out and made two inexplicable turnovers against a press that led to layups.

Nova lost at home to Furman today. Their second win over a final 4 team. Paladins already had won at Loyola. Don’t sleep on them!

Thanks to ESPN's circle jerk love affair with the NBA, we get a 5pm start for Duke-Gonzaga and a minute into the 2nd half, the Zags are giving the young Dukies diaper rash.

Zags are very fortunate that they have some erasers in the lane on defense because yakking 4 straight free throws in crunch time isn't a recipe for winning big games. But yes, that was an excellent game to watch for both teams playing their 3rd game in 3 days and it being so early in the season. I wouldn't be shocked one bit if this matchup repeats itself on an April Monday in Minneapolis.

While y'all were sleeping, Texas Southern went on the road and took out the Quacks by erasing a 13-point 2nd half deficit by raining 3's. This is the second big road win they've had this year after beating Baylor in the first week of the season. Last year, Texas Southern played something like 12 straight road games to start the year in order to fund the athletic department. That competition led to them winning their conference championship. This might be a team to keep an eye on again when we get to March and you discount them as getting 20-23 points as a 15 seed.

Twould be a feather in their respective caps if the PA State Affiliated Schools could win tonight.

It was Penn State's first win over a nonconference Top 25 team at home in 20 years.

#1 Zags escaped UW on a last second Hatchimura shot. They have UT and UNC coming up then their non brutal conference slate.

Bill Walton was on color last night and it was mostly tie dye. He sounded higher than usual even.
