Hair loss

Hair has been receding for years. It's still long enough to part, so I keep frequenting my longtime barber, but I figure in maybe five years or less I'll have to switch over to buzzing it.

Suck it up.

a year and a half ago my brother made a comment that I had a bald spot and I freaked out and after much deliberation I got a prescription for finesteride

I never took a pill. I convinced myself that I would rather be bald then have a non-working dick and "brain fog"

a year and a half later my hair looks exactly like it did back then. It's probably just a cowlick

I'm embarrassed that I ever went through the worrying phase where I would browse the tressless (balding) reddit board

I would be hammering those pills and some blues if I needed to...although without one, I guess I wouldn't need my hog to work...

Front is receding bad. I've convinced myself and backed out of shaving/buzzing everything the last 5 times I've gotten a haircut. Maybe I'll go all in later this year.

It you're balding in a material way where you can't save it and not (1) full shaved and (2) jacked, I'm confused by what you're doing. That's the only option if you want to even approach the level those with hair are operating on, let alone the rarified space those of us with exceptionally lustrous, thick hair are playing in.

I feel for bald guys.

If it happens to me before I’m 60, I’m just going to walk out onto the ice Eskimo style.

I never pictured eddysnake as a bald dude. I always thought of him as a long hair ponytail guy.

that was me once upon a time (also had a sweet mullet with lightning bolts on the side). I cut my long lustrous beautiful hair one day in my 20s and it never came back. I loved my long hair and even used horse shampoo at one time because it was thought to have benefits over human shampoo.

Skullet?
I'm pretty much at the age where I recognize this would be a terrible look, but also look forward to growing it. Possible divorce is standing in my way so it's a work in progress.

It has caused people to randomly throw up upon initial viewing. You don't want to see, it's completely inappropriate.

If I ever go down the road of losing my hair, I'm shaving my head, for sure. No way I'm trying to make bald look good. Luckily I have genetics on my side and will likely not go bald, so suck it, NAN.
Same for me. As of right now, my dad has white hair and while it's thinning, he's almost 65. I feel bad for people who've lost hair at like 22.

Baldness skips a generation
Everyone on my dad's side has full heads of hair. His brothers, all in their 70s and 80s, probably fuller heads of hair right now than I had in my mid 20s. Their sons, all well into their 50s, also with full heads. My dad was 65 when he passed, full head of hair even after rounds of chemo.

I got jobbed and ended up getting that gene passed from my mom's side. My grandfather? Bald in his early 20s. Most of my cousins? Bald in their mid 20s. I got kinda lucky and made it to 29 when I noticed it starting to get a little thin. I was going into reserves around that time and had the "**** it, just buzz it before I change my mind" moment. I think if I was lucky, I could have went another year or so before it looked really thin.

I still have my ponytail from the last time I got my hair cut 5+ years ago.

Interesting trades considered...
