Yes. Listen, I know I’m the guy that hates things but man do I hate She-Hulk.

I thought it was a six episode season. Nope, we are blessed with 9 episodes.

So between this and finishing up the Walking dead, I'm going to have a pooh fall of TV watching.

Listen, if the writers thought 9 episodes was needed, then so be it.

I dunno, seems fine to me, there are some laughs, that's all I'm here for.

Yinz do realize it's basically billed as a sitcom, right?

New season of Handmaid's Tale drops in like a week I think.

These writers haven’t earned that respect.

So not only is it as inconsequential as every other Marvel series, it’s also deliberately cheesy?

One of my problems with phase 4 Marvel is nearly every character is a buffoon and the laughs are more important than the story.

It's almost as if the target audience doesn't have time for a story.

Yep, agree with this. I mean I know they tried to have the laughs in there for the other phases/movies/shows, but it's now going over the top.

I accept that I’m not the target audience. I don’t accept that the target audience doesn’t care about story or that its flaws should be ignored because of its audience. I also wasn’t the target audience for Ms Marvel and I really liked that show. It had a clear POV, a story it wanted to tell, and a strong emotional core. She-Hulk has none of that.

I get that -- I guess I can get the criticism of "did they really need to make this?" but as is, tonally it's quite faithful to the comics in that the laughs are quite literally more important than the story. So again in that respect, I have no problem knowing what I'm getting into.

OK, maybe it was our discussion in here today, or more Wong(ers), but I genuinely enjoyed this latest episode.

Madisynn was a lot of fun. My teenagers liked her as well.

Did not expect a Billy Walsh sighting, that's for sure.

It was bugging me like mad but finally clicked during the courtroom scene.

Thor: Love and Thunder
Absolute **** trash. Bottom of the barrel MCU fodder that belongs with Thor 2 and The Incredible Hulk. A waste of an incredible actor and a narrative that's nothing more than poorly conceived comedy skits tied together through through narrative stupidity. All of the excellence of the engaging, charismatic, and funny Thor that Ragnarok finally gave us and endured through Infinity War and Endgame turned into an absolute buffoon. Dumber and more oblivious than ever.

One of the biggest problems for Phase 4 MCU has been the absence of engaging characters and capable actors. No Way Home managed to avoid this for obvious reasons, but RDJ and Chris Evans are gone and their characters with them. Thor is the last remaining original character and Chris Hemsworth is a more than capable actor. Who knows how many outings as Thor he actually has left, but this one was wasted on low stakes stupidity.

My opinion hasn’t changed unfortunately. Nearly halfway through the season and we still don’t have an actual antagonist.

Side note: was the image super dark for anybody else? It might be my HDR settings but no other content looks this dark.

My wife said it felt like a parody movie written but someone who isn't funny.
The movie is not worthy of any deep thought, but the "Infinity Cones" gag shows how hollow and poorly thought out everything was. New Asgard, a place populated by people displaced after their world was destroyed by Thanos, whose actions are the single worst thing to happen in this universe on several levels, and we get a punny ice cream joint. **** stupid.
