Season Finale

Yeah, baby.
Yeah, Jonathan Majors crushed it. Was refreshing to see a final act in a Marvel entity not just be a CGI fest.

So Loki...
Is it safe to assume that Kang and the multiverse is the direction for this next Marvel phase? I was surprised to see a season 2 announced. I just assumed that all of the Marvel shows were limited series.

I think Loki is the one show that can kind of live on its own. The others were just about bridging the gap between endgame and the next phase for those characters.

Loki was done in such a way that you have almost infinite possibilities for stories.

See I found Loki to be the one show that will actually impact the movies. Falcon & WandaVision didn't do much to progress the overall story for the next phase. We all knew Falcon was going to be the new Cap and Wanda is now full Scarlet Witch. That's about it. Loki set up the entire multiverse world.

TV Show could setup Loki shutting down some fun to explore multiverses and leave the "Big" ones for the big screen

The director of Loki was also surprised to see a second season get announced.

I didn't say that Loki didn't affect the movies, just that it lent itself to being able to continue as a series.

And just because "everyone knows x is going to happen" doesn't mean that you can just skip it. Those shows got those characters to that place so they don't have to spend time on it in the movies.

Oh for sure. It should absolutely continue. Falcon should as well. WandaVision reached its natural conclusion and that should be that.

I do think you can skip the other series, though I don't think you should. They each have something of value and I enjoyed them, especially Wanda. However, when looking at the MCU as a whole, Wanda and Falcon felt like treading water while awaiting the next phase whereas Loki felt like a new beginning. I haven't watched Black Widow yet but I suspect it's more treading water.

Regardless it’s a backstory for a dead character. Although I guess the multiverse opens up the return of any character now.

No, but it launches her replacement's story arc.

Finally watched Black Widow. It's a fun movie. I really like Florence Pugh and I'm looking forward to seeing her again in the MCU. That said, this film should've been released early phase three, maybe between Guardians 2 and Spider-Man Homecoming. Widow should've been the first female-led Marvel film. She earned that. As it stands, I don't understand the need to flesh out a dead character. As an early phase three film, we would've learned more about a character that we had seen quite a bit of AND it would've made that moment in End Game hit even harder.
We have to assume this "family" got blipped, right? That's another reason for her depression in End Game. Think of how much more weight that adds to her sacrifice now. She died to bring them back and didn't even get to be reunited with them. We should've known that.
As the first film in phase four, it doesn't really make a lot of sense. It doesn't push Marvel forward at all. Again, fun movie but ultimately felt pointless because of when they chose to make it.
Yes, I know the end credits scene leads into Hawkeye but that felt like a tacked on afterthought. Because it was. That wasn't shot until early 2020, months after principle photography wrapped.

Hawkeye is the next series up on Disney+. Premieres November 24th. Hailee Steinfeld is Kate Bishop, who is learning the ways of archery superhero life from the titular hero. Could be a good one.

Not a superhero person, so it's meaningless to me if this Loki thing is good or trash. But what I like about this series is that it's funny regardless if the target is good or trash.

Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man, and it's not even close.

I've enjoyed all 3 actors playing spiderman, it's just that some of those movies aren't good. This one looks cool and I'm looking forward to rewatching the Raimi films with the kids.

Why is the Sanctum Santorum so cold with snow? Looks like a fun movie.

Haven’t fixed the roof since Hulk fell through it.

Just realized the what if cartoons are out on Disney (at least first two). Didn't watch the cap America one, but the black panther as star lord one was great.

Not so sure about that. In the beginning of the trailer, Peter and MJ are laying on a roof and it certainly looked nice outside (assuming they are still in NYC). Now, months could have elapsed between then and getting to Strange, but Idk. I just think there's gotta be more to it than that.

Zendaya can look late 20s in one film (Malcolm and Marie), and then 16 in another. She's a vampire.

@eddy I really liked the Black Panther/Star Lord episode much better than the Captain Carter episode. I really like the animation style, too.
