Have yinz ever gotten a text like this?
Hi, Matthew! My name is Grace and we got a list of homeowners in your area and I am inquiring for interest-- I am showing here that you own (my correct address), correct?..if it's available, or if you're thinking about moving on, I'm free to chat daily from 3-5pm.

Yes. Several a week. Our house is valued at almost three times what we paid for six years ago so I assume that is why but who knows.

We are getting dangerously close to choosing new lvp for our entire first floor. mrs meow has it down between three choices with the cheapest being $5.59 a square foot. Start a go fund me for ya boy.
Sounds like you need to find a good reason not to purchase the $5.59 material.

Hit me up if you want some opinions. I have been doing my own research on this stuff, and you could probably get away with HD or Lowe's as long as you choose the right one and don't have them install it.
We are thinking about going with Proximity Mills. What brand did you use?

Interesting. I'm guessing these are the hedge funds I hear so much about trying to buy up homes. We also paid far less than what our home is valued for so that makes sense.

We haven’t chosen yet but the Lifeproof from HD looks legit. Just make sure the wear layer is at least 12 mil thick. And no phthalates

Wife called to say the garage door wasn’t opening. This after she told me she heard a strange grinding noise in the basement earlier today

Come home to see the torsion spring broken. Luckily I wasn’t too far away. She had no other way to pick my son up from school

That's at least the third broken garage door spring among board members. Nuts.

His would be the first torsion bar, IIRC. The rest of us had traditional springs break.

Our power went out this morning briefly and my wife was freaking out about having to manual open the garage door to go to work. Then she realized there was a way to do it manually haha.

The power came back on so it was a moot point anyways.

Here’s the weird thing. I think that may be the reason why the spring broke. When I talked to my wife on the phone, I had her pull the release. Had her try operating the door with the opener detached. She said it was still trying to open the door.

When I came home, it appeared the guide on the door opener was interfering with the door latch enough that it was dragging it along. Maybe it had been like that for a long time

Didn’t really matter anyway. In order for her to get the car out of the garage, she would have had to lift the door. It’s a double wide, probably close to 100 lbs to lift without the aid of the torsional spring. Even if she could lift it, it wouldn’t stay up on its own.

Recently got new doors and openers and these fancy ass openers have a battery backup that lasts like 20 or 30 lifts, and they have motion sensors bright ass LEDs in em. I never even turn on those fancy overhead lights NTP66 got the whole board using

I like pretending that I’m driving into heaven’s light when I pull into my garage with those 3 million lumen lights shining down on me.

I am curious how many of us NTP got to buy those. I’m like Kramer when he opens Jerry’s door to the Kenny Rodger’s sign when I turn them on
