It's likely a deep psychological flaw, but I always feel kind of embarrassed to be doing white collar work.

My grandfather used to clean the furnace before the furnace guy would come to service it. It's not a genetic trait, imo.

We had a cleaning service come once to "deep clean" the house. My fiancé cleaned before they came because she said she'd be embarrassed to have a dirty house.

Side note: that was a gigantic waste of money.

As a side note, both of the installers are Hispanic and I know enough Spanish to know all the bad words and I keep chuckling every time the one dude questions both the parentage and the mother of the hardwood flooring.

Parsonage.

The house had a substantial addition (approx. 1000 sqft) put on in 1993 and they are updating all the flooring in the new part of the house

Got the quote for the mold remediation for the toilet leak...$1400. I need to find out if that includes putting everything back together because I have a bad feeling it doesn't. Water damage suckkkkkkks.

1000. I think we are going to do this out of pocket though. We had another claim a few years ago for a burst pipe.

Finishing my annual X-mas break project:

Didn't know the original colors when I picked period-correct SW Buckram Binding for the ceiling and Rookwood Clay for the walls. Once I saw the original paint job, I decided to copy it with the colors I already chose and added Dark Clove for the border. Just need to get some correct round pendant lamp cord and some new artwork...

Will my heat pump disable itself in low (like tonight) temperatures?

I've been on all aux heat for the past hour. Not sure if it's on lockout again or a safety switch.

AUX heat signifies that your heat pump has automatically switched over to backup heating because temperatures are too low.
