@Kane: Could be something as dumb as a seal. Bet you’ll be able to find the part real cheap online. Dishwashers aren’t awful to work on, IMO.

I'm thinking it is the seal. I ran it again and watched under the front as best I could - it was coming out right where the door meets the base.

AppliancePartsPros.com is your new friend then. Just double check the part number on Amazon, because you may be able to find it there cheaper (since most shops charge shipping fees).

Also, partselect.com is another good source. They have a lot of YouTube videos showing exactly how to repair a lot of their common parts, which comes in handy if you've never taken one apart before.

Pulled the seal out, cleaned it off, and wiped out the slot it pops into. Reinstalled and she's dry as a bone. I'm thinking some food particles or grime build-up was causing a gap.

I thought for sure that "put the road back exactly as it was" meant that they'd repave the entire lane, and not just the strip that they dug up. Nope, they're repairing just the strip, and if it's anything like the repair they did a few streets down, it's not going to be a good job. **** infuriating. Not sure that this belongs here, but it’s close enough. I mentioned in the gear grinding thread that, after 3 years of waiting for PennDOT to repave the road outside of my street, they finally did so, and it was beautiful. Less than 6 months later, a gas contractor tore it up to replace gas lines. It’s a **** mess again.
Found out the other day that our township was not notified about the road work before the road was repaved, and only signed off on the work with the guarantee that they would put the road back exactly as it was - completely repaved, no patch work. I sure as hell hope that winds up being accurate. That road and its potholes has bent 5 of my wheels.

PSEG ripped up our whole neighborhood the same way and asspatched just the strip leaving loose gravel to be kicked up everywhere. Damn shame.

They replaced water/sewer lines in our neighborhood a few years ago and did the patch job. Of course that material shrunk at a different rate than the existing material, so now there's a nice reverse speed bump going through the road.

Yup, we’ve got those too. Amazing the local government does nothing.

Considering the fact that Mrs K is my dishwasher, yeah...Always fun to turn on the dishwasher and see a stream of water coming out from under it a couple moments later.
But seriously, it’s amazing how much better our dishwasher runs after a thorough cleaning.

I use Affresh dishwasher cleaner, along with some white vinegar splashed on the bottom. Always does a great job.

Anyone have any idea what’s reasonable to pay to have all your electric outlets/fixtures updated?
Got quoted 3600, my house is old and whoever did it before did a shitty job (places three prong where the wiring is for two prong, loose wiring, etc).

No idea, but is that for literally rewiring your entire house? I ask because you mention a 3 prong outlet where only two wires exist.

No, wiring is fine, it’s basically replacing and resetting all the outlets and light switches and something else behind where the plug is. Some of the receptors / whatever they’re called are burned out

Oh, if it's just that, then $3600 sounds really high. I could probably replace every outlet and switch in my house in one day, and that would be something like $450/hour.

So you know how to upgrade an electrical outlet?

Yes, and have replaced many of them. I don't know what your comfort level is, but they're not difficult, and you can buy a $5 tester to validate proper wiring (every outlet and switch has a wiring diagram on the package). So you know how to upgrade an electrical outlet?

The only time it gets tricky is when you're working with GFI outlets and you're looking at wiring other outlets downstream, as there are specific codes for that type of wiring.

$3600 seems really high, considering a 10 count box of standard three-prong outlets at home depot is $5. Same for standard light switches.

Yeah, and you can snag a really nice pair of Klein wire strippers for under $30 and make your work even easier. I still have my decade old pair that looks damn near brand new still.

Now that I think about it, there was a 'burgh company (Gillece maybe?) that was running a special for that a few years back. I think it was any 10 outlets or switches for $99.

I mean, a 10-pack of standard outlets from Leviton is under $10. Same probably goes for the switches.
