I wouldnt complain to the govt per se but it definitely needs contained.

Yeah that picture is dated as we did trim the trees back from the house, but the growth at the front right side by the alley is pretty bad.

And also, as I'm thinking about this, the street that run parallel to our alley is getting all of their gas lines replaced so there are large construction trucks moving up and down the alley all day right now. they might have complained as well.

Something I've noticed is my house seems to be very humid. We have an Arlo baby and it's always alerting to high humidity, and any time you get a cold glass beverage, it sweats like crazy. I am presuming it will be like this for a while given that our house is brand new and probably getting moisture from the plaster continuing to cure and dry.

Short of getting a whole-home dehumidifier, is a basement one enough? I also hate to run it through the winter months, because that's a good thing then to have humidity, but I worry about mold/mildew etc.

Weren't you having issues with your A/C? I wonder if it's not drying the air properly when it's on. Perhaps the desiccant in the dryer has been completely saturated and cannot regenerate.

I was - it's a brand new unit though. (My house is brand new April of this year). I'm not sure what that is, I'll start researching.

I think I traced my AC problems to a dirty filter, that was in the furnace nearly all through construction. I think that froze up the coil. I have no idea if the coil is still dirty or not, I never opened it up or cleaned it.

I have noticed that the AC itself doesn't seem to be able to keep up, especially when we have people over. I have gotten into the habit of setting it like 4 degrees lower than desired temp and about an hour into our gathering, the temp has risen. (this being in the summer months)

Arlo tells me right now it's 62% relative humidity. The AC obviously hasn't been on for a few days now, and we had the heat on since Saturday morning. I did cook a pot of soup yesterday, but I wouldn't expect it to be that bad - plus Arlo is in the nursery, which we keep the door shut most of the time.

You should still have a warranty on that unit, and I'd personally be calling for service to have somebody take a look. That just doesn't seem normal.

If your filter was clogged, it could have ruined your air dryer. Have them take a look at that as well. At the very least, ask them to replace the desiccant.

I'm trying to read about air dryers in HVAC systems and all that's coming up are automobile ones... is there anotehr term?
