Headed out to purchase 800' of hardwood flooring from Baird Brothers over in Canfield today. Redoing two bathrooms plus 75% of the floor upstairs = probably no vacation this year.

Got to use the New A/C yesterday for the first time.. much quieter and more efficient than the old one.
On a side note anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of bees that fly around your back porch. We seem to have a few that love our table and chairs since it's been warm out....and it's annoying. Can't really sit out there with them flying around. I've read vinegar, cinnamon among other things work?
Anyone have suggestions?

I'll listen on this too. Pretty sure they only stick around for late spring, but I'd love to use the back patio table before it gets too hot.Got to use the New A/C yesterday for the first time.. much quieter and more efficient than the old one.

With the table and chairs, are there little drain holes in them? Pretty sure they look to nest inside there, which is why they are so attracted to that area.

Figured I'd drop this here for no reason.
Our garages have been purely storage for three homes going back to 2012 when we first moved to the Valley. Two of the garages in that time were 1-car, so we weren't missing much. But our current house has a nice 2-car, and Mrs Tif would like to park in it now. For 3 years I've been saying we don't have a lot of work to do to make it usable, we just need to commit to the time and do it.
This last weekend was that time. Woooohoooooo!!!!
Took all of 60 minutes to sort out the Junk and Keep piles. But the real victory was when I pointed out the access hatch thingy for the overhead crawl space that will give us us some more space. Mrs Tif did not know this extra space existed. So Mrs Tif feels like she got a new house this past weekend.
Anyway, we've never had such a space before. What do yinz keep up 'ere in your garage overheads?

How about a grow house? Or is that just a "shed only" thing in CA

They do have small holes in them...so that makes sense. They are similar to what I linked below...but there is definitely small crevices holes they could get into...same with the table itself. Gonna try some concoction of vinegar or maybe peppermint oil and water later see how that goes.I'll listen on this too. Don't know how much you care about how your patio furniture looks, but we tried putting tape over all the holes. If your patio is covered, you don't need the drain holes.
They'll most likely stick around this year, as they are too stupid to realize that the holes are gone, but you may see results next year when they come back and notice there's nothing to burrow in.

Are the drain holes near a cap for the feet or something? You could always glue some mesh over the holes to prevent them from getting in if they're actually doing so now.

Seriously holiday decorations, old school textbooks that I don't really know why we keep, boxes for things in case we move I guess, which we haven't for 21 years...... I believe there's a box up there for a Gateway desktop that we owned when we moved in but was probably recycled 15 years ago. It's a nice box though, could maybe box something up in it someday.

Yeah our patio is covered. I'm not sure what they are trying to do exactly. The underside of our table (which is metal) has some small crevices, but I opened that up and flipped it and washed it out yesterday. Ditto with the chairs. I'll try to tape off any openings that I see though to be safe.
The last few days have been nice and my wife wanted to sit on the back porch and read and she was not happy with the bees flying around.

My boys have been begging to go outside for over a month now. Both days this weekend I said, "let's go outside and play!" To get to our backyard the easiest, you have to walk through the patio. We barely made it out there. They stood at the door whimpering because of all the bees. They finally braved it but man it was like they were going to be murdered or something.Yeah our patio is covered. I'm not sure what they are trying to do exactly. How deep do irrigation lines get installed for a home system? I bought some crabapple trees to install along or near my property line. When I spoke to my neighbor about it they were talking about their irrigation lines since they live in the model home. Not sure how worried I should be about this

Yeah, we have them. They are buried 8-10" below the surface, for the most part.

How deep do crabapple tree roots run? If they're shallow you need to plant them well away from the buried lines. Like, by several yards.

Since there's a lot of talk about cleaning, etc. lately, I wanted to mention that this is the single best cleaning product I have ever used for carpets, and it has been able to remove 100% of the stains I've encountered - including cat puke that was 90% red dye used in the food. It's worth its weight in gold, IMO.
