I’ve never put down vinyl plank flooring before today. Wasn’t too bad. I definitely should have done some math ahead of time to optimize plank usage, but with it being such a small space, it wasn’t a big deal.
Doing a little powder room makeover. I’ll post pics when it’s all done.

I have found that the cheap stuff doesn't install as nice as the expensive stuff when it comes to LVP

I wish I had planned better, but I really want to do LVP in my upstairs laundry area. Gonna be a dodint to move the washer and dryer out in order to do it.

It's just like anything else. The more you do it, you figure it out and it gets much easier. I put it down in our basement first, then two bathrooms and our entire first floor. I look back at the basement and see every mistake that I made.

Can anyone explain to my why fittings for 3/8” pex tubing are nearly impossible to find, yet my whole house is plumbed with 3/8” pex tubing?

I’ve had multiple rants here about this. Lowe’s carries some 5’ and 10’ pex in 3/8”, but nothing more. HD has even less. If you need more, I recommend Supply House:Can anyone explain to my why fittings for 3/8” pex tubing are nearly impossible to find, yet my whole house is plumbed with 3/8” pex tubing?

They were super fast when I ordered fittings through them, and have terrific prices.

I found a 3/8” connection to a male half inch. Took that to a female with a 1/2” pex connection on the other end. Bought a small piece of 1/2” pex to connect that to a shut off valve.

Sounds similar to what I had to do with my humidifier:
Finished the plumbing on my humidifier. 3/8” pex to 1/2” pex to 1/4” polyethylene for the water supply. Whatever, clean install and it works.
All hail SharkBite.

Before (left) and after (right):
Stupid things that I found throughout the reno:
1. Everything in our house is just a little off standard. I mentioned about our front door being an inch off standard. Our pex lines like I had mentioned here are 3/8" rather than 1/2". The bathroom width was just under 36 inches, so a standard 36 inch vanity wouldn't fit. Went with a 30 incher which is nice, but it doesn't fill the full width of the bathroom.
2. I need to go check all the light fixtures in the house. I took down the light fixture to find they just punched a hole in the drywall and ran the wiring straight to the fixture. No junction box at all, so I put one in, but it has me worried that the rest of the house is like that.
3. I love vinyl plank flooring. So easy to install and it looks great. 10/10, would recommend.

Love the green. Reminds me of my grandma's, in a good way. She loved that shade of green.

I picked out about 5 different options for paint color, handed them to my daughter and said "pick one". She picked my least favorite of the 5, but she was super happy with it. It was called "melancholy mint". Looks way better on the wall in the space than it did on the chip. I liked it, or I wouldn't have made it an option, but my daughter is super proud that she picked the color.

Haha... I wanted green, my wife wanted blue, so I picked 3 greens, 2 blues that would work in the space and handed them to my daughter. Honestly, I wanted a much much lighter green, but she was determined to have that color. She said to the guy at the paint counter, "Daddy wanted green, mommy wanted blue, I wanted pink, but daddy said pink wasn't allowed, so we got green." He just chuckled.
Btw, the wallpaper was from lovevsdesign.com It was super easy to put up as it is just peel and stick. The only tricky part was getting the pattern to match up. It doesn't 100% match, but the mismatch starts behind the toilet, so no big deal there.

We had that shade of green all over our house when we moved in. It’ll soon be phased out. Just got tired of it.

3/8" is standard for most; 1/2" is used for larger volume lines, line a big tub, etc.Source of the post Our pex lines like I had mentioned here are 3/8" rather than 1/2".

Thinking about getting a table saw. I’d mostly get it for ripping long boards, but may also use it to make rabbet or groove cuts.
Any recommendations? Don’t want to get too crazy. Something $250 and under

I have this. It’s great. Compact but has the power to rip through even hardwood like maple or oak. It’s normally 399 but on sale for 299. A little outside your range but absolutely worth it in my eyesThinking about getting a table saw. I’d mostly get it for ripping long boards, but may also use it to make rabbet or groove cuts.

If you don't need anything too high end, I used this when I did remodeling last year. Worked perfectly to rip tongue and groove pine and moulding. I didn't have a good place to store it, so I sold it when I was finished for $150.

the is the best saw in my mind for what you are looking for. the fence on the comparable ryobi/ridgid is terrible, awful. if you are going to be doing a lot of ripping, go with the dewalt, the fence is best in the price range. i spend more time squaring up my fence on the ridgid then i do cutting.I have this.
