Nah I mean the air coming out wasn't cold at first. It's been kinda off and on since then. It'll feel cold for a little then it'll be just room temp. I'm just assuming this is bad

When the AC is actively running (namely, outside compressor is actively circulating coolant and the inside blower is on), IIRC the air coming out of the vents should be something like 15 to 20 degrees colder than the air that's already in the house. If you have a thermometer, stick it in a vent and check the temperature. If it's not that cold, then something is wrong.

Is the compressor outside actually running? Did the tech do a test to make sure everything was running normally after the service? It could be something really stupid like the tech didn't turn an electrical breaker back on after replacing the bad capacitor.

It sounds like you and I have similar issues. Is the evaporator coil frozen or dirty.

The living room is just about ready for color. Got two coats of primer on everything today. This is after the first coat:

Have a couple small patches to do first thing tomorrow morning, then I should finally get the walls finished. Still have to order paint for the ceiling.

We're taking advantage of the long weekend and painting the final room downstairs, as well. Jumped on the Lowe's paint rebate ($20 for our two gallons). I like Valspar paint, and have used it a lot in the past, but damn does their paint section lack choices. They don't sell any of the 'sensitive' masking tape, they don't don't carry most of Loctite super glue gels, and they essentially only carry their own brand in roller pads, which are average at best.

Source of the post Frog tape and Purdy White Doves
I do use Frog Tape, but wanted their sensitive version (needed for our **** ceiling paint). If we were doing the ceilings anytime soon, I wouldn't care, but it's not in our immediate plans. As for rollers, I only use Wooster Pro/Doo-Z's. They have been perfect for us, so I don't want to switch.

First coat is done. Couple more hours until I can do the second.

Really liking the color. Hope it doesn't darken too much with subsequent coats.

IMO Lowes is the Walmart of the home improvement stores. Home Depot is superior in almost every aspect. That said if there are identical items at both stores I usually buy at Lowes because of the coupon generator.

Sherwin williams paints are the only ones I will buy going forward though.

I really dig all the wood in your house.
Let's see who jumps all over the wood comment first.

Yep. I've used SW Emerald for both exterior (gloss) and interior (matte) and couldn't be happier. It's just really good paint. It goes on smooth and looks great.

It was a major influence in our buying the place. It's pretty rare, at least around here, to find a 100 year old house with ALL the original wood finishes still intact. I need to have the floors redone, but everything else is in great shape.

I decided to put some shiplap in our powder room since I can’t work outside because of Florence. I cracked the damn toilet tank putting it back together. What are the odds this thing is impossible to replace and I have to get a whole new toilet?

I broke the lid on our toilet when I placed it down more firmly the necessary after the thing wouldn't quit running. I just duct tape it together and bought a frilly cover to put over it.
