I had someone come out to measure for a vinyl fence for our backyard. Waiting to get back the estimate.. waiting for sticker shock. Having a 2nd company come out Monday to get another opinion as well.

Front entry way door ordered May 24. Update in July was 1st week of September. Update the first week of October was the first week of November. Scheduled for install Wednesday, canceled because the installer "didn't realize how big the door was" and it didn't fit in his vehicle. Rescheduled for today so he could get a delivery truck. Couldn't get a delivery truck today, rescheduled for tomorrow. I have my doubts, but we'll see.
Sometimes all you can do is laugh haha.

I think we paid like $25 per foot installed.

Per linear foot? Was that with or without the cost of the materials? We do have some challenges with the hillside and how are back yard is configured.. but we shall see I guess.

We are doing 6 foot and probably only one gate, but I think when he walked it we were under 150 linear feet all together.

Who did you use if you don't mind me asking? I can't remember if you are local or not haha.

We have a 6 foot tall, white vinyl privacy fence. About 430 linear feet. Quotes ranged from $15k to $25k. Bought the materials (I think like $7500) and did it myself, which sucked major ass because our yard is Ryan Homes’ patented 99:1 rock to dirt fill. But yea, prepare to sell a kidney.

Your back yard is about 3 times the size of ours haha. Our front and side yards are pretty huge, but our back yard is smaller since we are a corner lot hitting up against woods, but even so.

I don't trust myself to do it right or I would do it haha.

Our company told us there was no price difference between 5 and 6 foot. So 6 was a no brainer. I would recommend getting two gates beside each other if you can. Just for extra room to get anything back there if needed. Like a truck for tree trimming or a riding mower. Unless there is a zero percent chance you need that.

We live in Charlotte so no help there.

Ours does the same and it's a Samsung.. we basically just stopped using that feature and and just do time dried loads. We need to get a new set at some point as these were left by the last owners. The dryer is only like 2 years old too from when I looked up the model info.
Dang
Yeah, my wife complains about this constantly on our current LG. Hoping the new model doesn't suffer from it, as well.
Double dang

Still going to try to get a warranty on it

My wife has been using timed cycles to get around it.

Dryer trick:
Find the moisture sensor and clean it with rubbing alcohol.

Our Samsung actually wouldn't even run timed dry cycles until I rubbed them down.

And when that eventually doesn't work, use the timed cycle... ;)

My favorite home maintenance activity is taking the leaf blower into the laundry room to blow out the dryer vent pipe... I should time lapse the exhaust. That's impressive.

How often should one clean out the dryer vent pipe?

I need to get one of those vacuum attachments, although the leaf blower sounds fun too.

I clean ours once annually. I use the kit I linked above to loosen everything in the vent from the outside, then have my wife turn on the dryer to blow it through the vent, and use my shop vac to catch it all. Takes 10 minutes.

I can’t believe you haven’t seen the dryer fire commercials. They cause hundreds of millions in damage every year.

I just clean out the trap in the front. I've never thought to bother with the hole in the wall part.
But then I move every two years. I'll have to check if all my old houses burnt down after I left.
