Any reason why you want concrete over asphalt?

Wife doesn't like the look of black asphalt. She likes concrete.

Concrete may increase your taxes because it is considered “permanent” in some areas. Asphalt is not

In any case 10k on a new driveway isn't in the budget right now so the crack filler and resealing will have to do for a year or two.

Does 10k for a new concrete driveway that is 20x45 seem reasonable?

Had someone out to fill in some cracks in our current driveway and such and they tried to upsell me on a new driveway. It needs done sooner than later but wasn't sure if that price was in line with the norm.
We were quoted under 5k for a 40 x 24.

Anyone buy a washer and dryer lately?
Since you jabronis were of no help, we looked at the consumer report best model for 2021 and bought them

Concrete is about 150 a yard right now. Figure your concrete amount and then triple it, I'd say is a good rule of thumb for a "max" price.

I assume alot of the cost I was quoted was hauling away all the old ****. Either way when we do decide to do it will get multiple quotes.

12 yards of Crete... Meaning (I think) 2 trucks. $6k to pour a brand new one sounds about right. You may want to look for two individual quotes. May be cheaper that way.

Edit I mean one to rip out and one to put new in.

Like spending 10k takes the cushion away for other things ...if something went bad that had to be fixed right away. The cracks are sealed for now...it ain't pretty but it will have to do.

Idk, it doesn't sound terribly off. You'll likely need a load of gravel too, wire mesh, if they pour it 6 inches thick too that'd be more concrete. It sounds about right.

I don't think it does either after researching a bit but we will limp along with the cracks filled and new sealant for hopefully another year or two.

lg ultra large capacity dryer

freaking took me 40 years to spend 200 bucks on a power washer. it's more fun than should be allowable at that price point

Kitchen remodel: why does it cost 10% the value of my hose? Sure it’s outdated, but it’s still functional. I don’t get it

Ugh, I’ve got a gfci outlet that trips automatically and I’ve unplugged everything from the circuit (that I know of). Sounds like I have to break down and call an electrician.

Two summers ago I got 1800 square feet of concrete poured for my driveway, which was originally asphalt and in total disrepair due to the previous homeowner doing no maintenance on anything in the 5 years he lived here. Added in a 20x20 patio pad under a portion of my deck, with footers in case I want to enclose the space in the future.

It was... painful. But so worth it.

Is the outlet older? The outlets themselves can go bad over time. $10 and 30 minutes might save a call to the electrician.

I meant the model numbers. I've looked at front load washers and dryers twice over the last year, and haven't made a change because LG only has one new redesign, and it's priced far too high.

We had a similar issue shortly after moving in. Electrician came to take a look at it and said it was due to the ground wire touching the metal of the outlet box. Might be worth taking a look yourself before calling an electrician.
