A great source of rational, level-headed analysis, so this is #notgood

I don't know, it seems like there are legitimate reasons to be agitated with this group of receivers. These guys don't seem to have a lot of upside and they haven't historically been very productive. obviously Kenneth shane pickett should force these guys to up their games, but I'm just not sure these guys have a lot of room to grow.

If that Taysir Mack dude is immediately eligible with the proposed rule change that would put a whole new paint job on things.

Indeed it would. By every account I've read he's been far and away the best WR in camp. Anyone know how the O-Line was organized for either side? 13 sacks is a lot to give up, though maybe this defense ends up being just that damn good. Big days for Cam Bright, future yinzer hero Kyle Nunn, Weaver, and especially Patrick Jones, who I think is going to end up being a stud.

The line is hard to judge because its all split up, plus Millin, the grad transfer 5th year expected to start at LT isn't here yet

I just read this:
Five receivers did not participate in the spring game: Aaron Mathews, Shocky Jacques-Louis and Dontavius Butler-Jenkins, who were limited for most of spring camp, and Tre Tipton and Rafael Araujo-Lopes, who were held out for precautionary reasons.
I think this should greatly reduce the hand-wringing over the WRs. That's three -- Mathews, Lopes, and Tipton -- of their top 4 WRs.

Michael Smith apparently had a nice catch or two, he was the kid out of Florida a couple years back who blew up at the end of his high school career and picked Pitt over Notre Dame. Other than that, Ffrench, Mack, Street, and KTK suited up at WR.

First recruit of the Capel era. Top 75 2019 combo guard Trey McGowens is reclassifying to 2018 to join Pitt next season. 6'4ish with a long offer sheet. Top offers were Clemson, Minnesota, Baylor, NC State, VT, Tennessee, Ok State, etc. McGowens is the highest rated player recruited to Pitt since Steven Adams.
Justin Byerly of Prep Hoops: "McGowens is a human highlight reel with his athleticism & dunking ability. He has the ability to attack the paint & can get buckets from all levels on the floor. He has a strong build for the two-guard spot & can also play the point guard position.”
