PL believes that Sean Idowu has been/is good. I disagree. His ceiling in 2018 is adequate.

I can never get a good feel on idowu. Sometimes i think he makes tackles becuase honestly, someone has to make a tackle at some point. On the other hand, he doesn’t seem to go missing for long stretches like many a pitt linebacker since mckillop.

This is correct -- need a guy to make a tackle after an 8 yard gain? That's your guy.

Need a guy to make any kind of affirmative impact on his own? This is not your guy.

Guys on defense that can make an affirmative impact:

Weaver
Dane Jackson?
Paris Ford????

Guys on offense that can make an affirmative impact:

Kenneth Shane Pickett
Paris Ford?????????

Good to know that there are 5 affirmative impact players on the team and 2 of the 5 is the same person, and that person hasn’t played a collegiate down.

Someone on PL posted this and it blew my mind
2) Darrin Hall, recruiting class of 2015 enters his senior year as the the first Pitt player to likely exhaust his 4 year eligibility under one coach since.... Dom Deciccio, Pitt recruiting class of 2007.
And Hall actually committed while Chryst was the HC.

I find it disappointing that no one wishes to discuss the relative merits of dom decicco (good player imo)

I will gladly discuss dom decicco. He was a good player on a good team and i wish pitt had more guys like him.

Csb alert

Decicco always got those lucky interceptions where a QB overthrows a guy by 4 feet and decicco just so happened to be 5 yards behind the guy. Or a guy broke out of a route and went towards the sideline and the QB throws it the other way, and decicco would always be standing right there. He ended up with 12 career ints and basically got all of them handed to him. So now when a QBs makes a trash throw and some defensive back happens to be in the right place at the right time, we call it a decicco special.

/csb

I just dont want to talk about how pitt can somehow go 8 full seasons without a freshman playing 4 years for the same coach.

Will Gragg TE grad transfer from Arkansas. Former 4 star recruit, and played in 10 games last year. Two years of eligibility remaining.

UPS's "More Commits Than Pitt in June" trophy will right next to their "Spring Game Attendance" trophy.

Is he basically replacing the Alamo kid?

I think he's kind of replacing The Alamo and Chris Clark at this point. Pitt graduated three TEs, lost a TE recruit, and had another quit. Definitely a position of need.

Not A Rival and most definitely Irrelevant, but they'll keep tabs on Pitt's recruiting nonetheless. They're so cute, those Nitters.
