This is a game pitt typically loses.
Bad take imo
Interesting that they won with the passing game.

I feel like all this just makes the unc loss more painful. Assuming that Clemson steam rolls pitt, they’re not going to be ranked coming out of the championship game and looking at a crap bowl.
ACCCG loser gets no worse than the Pinstripe or Sun Bowl

Wake was awesome against the run. Pickett's best passing game ever, right? Little pass rush but the secondary got the job done. Bad penalties and wake had none until the game ending facemask.

Terrible time management on the ffrench td catch drive. Could have run another minute off just hiking the ball later (all 40 seconds after the wake injury time out wasted)

Kessman's grounder was as impressive as his 50+ yarders. Glad to see RAL involved

Weird awesome win. Won without their strengths. Encouraging. Go To Pitt. *finger point in your face*

Charlotte is basically a home game for Clemson.

Wake Forest was a fantastic place to watch a football game.
Really awesome. Maybe the sunny weather in mid November helped, but I loved it. We kept saying how a setup like that with one of the endzones enclosed to bring it around 50k would be perfect for Pitt.

Great weather, great Pitt section (10k plus?) Over half our side had to be filled with Pitt fans. Great game. Subpar BBQ at Little Richards, but all in all a great road trip. Looking forward to Charlotte. Expecting to see tons of orange, but judging by today, there will be a nice turnout of Super Panther fans. Especially when word gets out that @nan is attending

The press box makes the stadium look much bigger, and I love the berm seating. Place was super clean as well.

Totally agree on a stadium like that for Pitt as well.

Add a deck on the visitor's side and a more substantial seating area in the opposite endzone with fieldhouse and that gives you 45,000 easy.

It’s also not “may”; beat Clemson and it’s a NY6 game guaranteed as conf champs

I also don’t see ups projected to get a NY6 anywhere
Lol I'm not seeing it either. We looked pathetic against fcking Buttgers.

Where would the Clemson game be?
Pitt has a pretty good shot of playing uwv or wisky either of which would be my preference. That requires a win v. The U and assumes Clemson wins ACCCG.

Uwv loss helped ups based on projections coming out for NY6. Some have them in one others don’t. Uwv seems to be out of that NY6 picture now since I don’t think they can make B12CG

Brings back memories of them telling us who cares about 42-39 because they were in the B1G Championship game

Batko:
Pitt slips into the coaches poll at No. 25. I’d think they’ll be ranked in the AP too when it comes out this afternoon.

No updates to the depth chart yesterday, but Morrissey is done for the year after having ankle surgery. Owen Drexel would be the next man up based on the depth chart.

Honestly I did think about that.

But there’s kinda a big difference there... PSU should have won that game, did, won 11 games, went to the Rose Bowl.

Pitt could easily lose this weekend, be > 3 TD underdogs and get blown out by Clemson, and end up in The Who Cares Bowl.

To be fair, unless you're in the playoffs, they are ALL The Who Cares Bowl.

Not for perception. And not being the blue blood program PSU is, Pitt needs all they can get.

That Rose Bowl may not have been the playoff and may have been a loss, but it was an epic game where most of the country started understanding just how great Barkley was and the amazing turnaround Franklin established bringing this program back towards the top. It sure did bolster perception, recruiting, $$$. And PSU did win something that year - one of the best conferences in the country.

Where Pitt fails is to keep momentum going. I’ll acknowledge they’re a top 25 caliber program at times, but every time they crack the top 25, they go downhill and basically reverse any momentum they gained.

Unfortunately, Clemson will be too tall a task to keep momentum going. You guys will be back to where you were in the beginning of the season after that game. They’re the only team that can challenge Bama.
